GOD WILL FIGHT FOR YOU

SERIES: DIVINE INTERVENTIONS.

TEXT: ISAIAH 14:14.

 

There will be times in our lives when we face real battles, physical, spiritual, emotional and psychological. These battles seem insurmountable.

The good news is that we are never alone in these battles!! God has promised to fight for us ensuring that we are not defeated. Our message today explores how God fights for His people, the power of His intentions and how we can trust in His protection and victory.

Jehovah Elshaddai is the almighty God. He fights for those who call Him father. When God fights for you, then victory is certain-Isaiah 29:5-6.

“But suddenly, your ruthless enemies will be crushed like the finest of dust. Your many attacks will be driven away like chaff before the wind. Suddenly in an instant, I the Lord of heaven’s armies will act for you, with thunder and earthquake and great consuming fire.” Let us learn:-

GOD IS MIGHTY IN BATTLE.

  • All power belong to Him. Some people fight for their gods, but those who put their trust in Jehovah-Jesus Christ, the almighty God fight for them.
  • He takes over your battle and begins to fight for you, “Your ruthless enemies will be crushed like the finest of dust.”
  • Your many attackers will be driven away like chaff before the wind”-Isaiah 29:5. The Lord will rise up on your behalf and fight for you in Jesus name.

THE ALMIGHTY GOD (Elshaddai) FIGHT AWESOME WEAPONS.

God’s weapons are not carnal but wondrous.

  • They pull down strongholds of principalities, powers of darkness and spiritual wickedness in high places.
  • He will scatter the enemy asunder-Psalm 68:1

“I the Lord of heaven armies, will act for you with thunder and earthquake and great noise, with whirlwind and storm and consuming fire”-Isaiah 29:6.

  • The Lord will act on your behalf with all the weapons of heaven in Jesus name.
  • He will pull down every stronghold of afflictions, delays and unfruitfulness in your life-in Jesus name.
  • In Jericho the great noise of God brought the walls of Jericho down-Joshua 6:20.
  • The Syrian army heard a great noise and fled-2nd Kings 7:6.
  • Paul and Silas were delivered from prison when God acted on their behalf with great earthquake-Acts 16:25-26.
  • The children of Israel were delivered from the army of Pharaoh when God fought for them with whirlwind in the Red sea.
  • God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone-Gen. 19:24. God will fight for you-in Jesus name.
  • Always proceed with confidence in God’s word.
  • Pray with confidence in God’s will.
  • Prevail with confidence in God’s might no matter how great your enemy is.

GOD FIGHTS FOR HIS PEOPLE.

  • Throughout scripture, God promises to protect His people from harm and danger-Psalm 91:11.
  • Victory belongs to the Lord-1st 17:47.
  • When God fights for us, His power is displayed mighty, overcoming any adversary-Exodus 14:4.
  • God fights on behalf of the oppressed. God stands up for the oppressed, defending them against their enemies-Psalm 68:5.

HOW GOD FIGHTS FOR YOU.

  • Divine interventions in impossible situations.
  • God often intervenes in situations where there is no human solution, making a way where there seems to be none-Isaiah 43:16.
  • God will send heavenly armies, at other times God sends angels to fight on our behalf and deliver us from harm-2nd Kings 6:12.
  • God fights through supernatural wisdom and strategies-2nd 20:20-24.
  • The authority of His word; God’s word is a weapon that He uses to fight on our behalf, giving us victory over the enemy-Eph. 6:17.

THE NATURE OF GOD’S FIGHTING FOR YOU.

  • God fights for justice-Psalm 35:24.
  • God fights with mercy and grace.

Though God is merciful, He fights with mercy offering grace and salvation to His people-Romans 5:8.

  • God fights for your deliverance-Isaiah 49:24-25.
  • God’s fight results in peace.
  • When God fights for us, His victory brings peace and rest from our troubles-Isaiah 32:17.

HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR VICTORY.

  • Stand firm in faith-Eph. 6:13.
  • Keep your peace-Exo. 14:14.
  • Pray and worship-2nd 20:3-4.
  • Obey God’s instructions-Deut. 28:1-2.

THE OUTCOME OF GOD FIGHTING FOR YOU.

  • There is guaranteed victory-Rom. 8:31.
  • Your enemies are defeated-Psalm 35:8-10.
  • You will rejoice in the victory-Psalm 118:15-16.
  • God’s name will be glorified-2nd 22:4-5.

CONCLUSION

  • When you face battles, remember that you are not alone.
  • God has promised that He will fight for you and He will bring you to victory.
  • Trust in His promises, remain faithful and stand firm in the faith.
  • He will not allow you to be defeated, for He is with you, fighting on your behalf.

PRAYER

  • Father thank you for the promise that you will fight for me.
  • Lord, I surrender all my battles into your hands.
  • Lord send you angels to fight on my behalf.
  • Father, give me divine wisdom and strategies for every battle.
  • Father, deliver me from all oppressions and bondage.
  • Father, I thank you for the victory you have already given to me.
