SERIES: GOD’S PLANS TO BLESS YOU.
TEXT: GENESIS 1:28.
It gives our father great pleasure when He is releasing blessings to His children. Right from the start, God created man in a big way and He released blessings to Adam and Eve.
Even to restore the fallen man back to the kingdom, Jesus said, “It is father’s pleasure to give you the kingdom”-Luke 12:32. If there is anything that gives our father pleasure, it is when He is releasing blessings to His children. It is the involvement of God that moves your life to a life of abundance, a life of peace and a life of increase. The Bible says:-
- For promotion comes neither from the east nor the west nor from the south, but God is the judge, He puts down one and exalts another-Psalm 75:6.
- The ark of the Lord remained in the house of Obed-edom the Gillite three months and the Lord blessed Obed-edom and all his household.
It is the presence of God in your life that opens doors for you, it is the presence of God in your life that brings increase. Some examples of people whom God blessed:-
ABRAHAM-Genesis 12:2.
- God pronounced blessings on Abraham: to make a great nation from him, make his name great and make him a blessing (to others).
- God did that: millions of people have descended from Abraham.
- God did that: the name of Abraham is great on the earth today.
- God did that: He blesses Abraham with wealth; Abraham was very rich in cattle, in silver and in gold-Genesis 13:2.
ISAAC-Genesis 26:13.
- And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped the same year 100 times, the Lord blessed him-Genesis 26:12.
- The man (Isaac) began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous, for he had possessions of flocks and possessions and possessions of herds and a great number of servants-Genesis 26:13.
- Isaac’s great blessings caused fear to king Abimelech and the king told Isaac, “Go away from us, for you are too powerful for us.”
KING SOLOMON-2nd Chronicles 1:11, 12.
- God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor or the life for those who hate you and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge over whom I have made you king, wisdom and knowledge are granted you. I will also give you riches, possessions and honor such as the kings who were before you and none after you shall have the like.”
JOB-Job 1:3.
- Job was a righteous man, one who feared God and turned away from evil-Job 1:8.
- God blessed him to become the greatest man in the Middle East, in his time-Job 1:3.
KING UZZIAH-2nd Chronicles 26:5, 15.
- King Uzziah feared the Lord.
- Uzziah sought the Lord in the days of Zechariah who had understanding in the visions of God, and as long as he sought the Lord, God made him prosper-2nd Chronicles 26:5.
- God blessed him and he became very famous to the border of Egypt. God enlarged him and he became famous-2nd Chron. 26:15.
JACOB-Genesis 32:28.

- God blessed Jacob greatly. He prospered and returned from Laban’s place with great wealth. He said, “I had only my staff when I crossed this Jordan, but now I have become two camps”-Genesis 32:10.
- God blessed him and gave him a new name Israel, the only name in the world map today that is the name of a country, named after a person-Genesis 32:28.
CONCLUSION
- The presence of God in your life is what guarantees growth and expansion, embrace it.
- Build your capacity to handle more, God wants to expand your territory.
