SERIES: YOUR FAITH.

TEXT: MARK 11:23

Faith sees in darkness. It sees that which is not visible with the naked eyes. Once you see it you will say it. The Bible says we should confess faith. What you speak is what you believe. What is in the heart of a person is confessed through speech.

Words are powerful. Words have the capacity to create. The world and the universe were created through words by our creator. He said, “Let there be…..” and the was. Since God has created us in His image, our words too create and also destroy.

Our Lord Jesus told us that having a little faith as small a mustard seed, it can move a mountain-Mark 11:23.

A story is told of a young believer who heard this from her pastor-that she can command a mountain and it will move. There was a small hill in her land. She decided to practice her faith by commanding it to move. It didn’t move. She complained to her pastor that she commanded the hill and it didn’t move. The pastor told her one day it will move. The government decided to construct a highway nearby. The surveyors who did the road design found it most convenient to pass it through the small hill, so it was blown down by the road engineers by excavators and the lady was compensated heavily by the government-the hill moved!! GOD CALLS THINGS THAT ARE NOT AS THOUGH THEY ARE-Romans 4:17.

Even before Isaac was born God told Abraham “I have made you the father of many nations.” His word created visible things.
We are created in the image of God. When we see things through the eyes of faith, we will speak them-Acts 4:20.
Curses are just words spoken and they become reality. In the same way positive confessions of a believer will create visible things.

LET THE WEAK SAY I AM STRONG-Joel 3:10.

Once you confess strength weakness goes, your perspective changes and you start behaving as though you are strong. Strength comes.
Let the poor say “I am rich.” Once you confess wealth, it “hears” and it comes-James 1:9-11.
We are more than conquerors-Romans 8:37. Through Jesus Christ we are overcomers, we are born of God, the one in us is stronger than the one in the world-1^st John 4:4.

LIFE AND DEATH ARE IN THE POWER OF THE TONGUE-Proverbs 18:21.

What you confess is what you will create.
Before David killed Goliath he confessed, “today the Lord will conquer you, and I will kill you and cut off your head,” and it happened-1^st 17:45-46.

CONCLUSION

Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof-Prov. 18:21.
The tongue is a weapon. You can use the tongue to fight, David used it against Goliath. Use the tongue to close and open doors. Closed mouth=closed destiny.
