THE APPEARING OF THE LORD

SERIES: THE SECOND COMING OF THE LORD

TEXT: MATTHEW 24:29-30

The church will be raptured before the great tribulation will last seven years. After the trumpet sounds those who died in Christ will resurrect first, then those who are alive will be translated and caught up with the resurrected to rise up through the clouds and meet the Lord, the bridegroom as He comes.

After the rapture the church and the bridegroom will have marriage supper together. Thereafter the works of each believer will be judges and rewarded accordingly, before the judgement seat of Christ-2^nd Corinthians 5:10, also called the BEMA seat. The church will be with the Lord in heaven being rewarded and at the same time there will be terrible times here on earth, called the GREAT TRIBULATION.

Christ will not appear physically to the world during the rapture. Immediately after the seven year tribulation period on the earth, Jesus Christ will return physically in the sight of all people on earth, to the earth. More about the second advent of Jesus:-

THE BATTLE OF ARMAGEDDON.

The Armageddon will come at the end of the great tribulation. The war of Gag and Magog at the beginning of the tribulation. The battle of Armageddon will bring human ruler ship to an end-Rev. 16:14-16. Jesus Christ will lead a heavenly army to victory over God’s enemies-Zachariah 14:2-3.

JESUS CHRIST WILL RETURN TOGETHER WITH THE CHURCH.

Jude 14: Enoch the seventh from Adam, prophesied about them, “see, the Lord is coming with thousands upon thousands of his holy ones.”
At the end of the great tribulation the sun will go off, the moon and the stars-Matt. 24:29.
In the darkness a sign will appear in heaven-Matt. 24:30.
All the tribes on earth will mourn, and they will see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory-Matt. 24:30.

THE FEET OF JESUS WILL TOUCH THE MOUNTAIN OF OLIVES.

The mountain of Olives, east of Jerusalem is where the feet of Jesus will stand-Zachariah 14:4.
On touching the mountain, it will split into two.
The Lord will then walk and enter the temple through the east gate. Up to now this gate is locked, until the return of the Lord through which He will enter the temple.
Jesus our Lord ascended to heaven from the Mount of Olives. He will land on the Mount of Olives too, as He returns-Acts 1:11.

CONCLUSION
