THE FIVE LEVELS OF FAITH

TEXT: ROMANS 10:7; HEBREWS 11:1-2

God wants us to grow in our faith through five ways-God can do, God did, God is doing, God will do, God has done. Let us see the 5 fold levels of faith.

LEVEL 1- A measure of faith.

“For I say through the grace given to me to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith”-Romans 12:3.

Each person has a measure of faith that comes as a gift from the father and each one is born with it.
This is the lowest level of faith anyone can exercise.
This level of faith is also called “little faith.”

LEVEL 2-The word of God.

“Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God”-Romans 10:7.

Faith can be built upon the measure of faith that each one has, by hearing and studying the word of God. God’s word is the carrier of God’s power and impacts supernatural ability.
The word of God is anointed and is the only source of incorruptible power.
The word of God is the light that wards off darkness.
An encounter with God’s word brings about the release of God’s power.

LEVEL 3-Building faith through tongues.

“But you, beloved, building yourself up in your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit-Jude 20.

God blessed Abraham, tremendously because he was a man of faith.
By exercising his faith, Abraham came into right standing with God and he was abundantly blessed for it.
Christians sometimes struggle to exercise their faith.
Praying in tongues is a supernatural way to build up ones faith.
As believers we are encouraged to spend time praying with the Holy Spirit when their faith is down or if they feel that their faith is under attack, so that their faith can be built up.
When you pray in tongues devotionary, you are not speaking to men, but to God and you release the mysteries of God that are hidden from those who do not pray in the Holy Spirit.
Tongues is the language of the Holy Spirit which releases a fresh anointing, which builds up the individual believer that engage in it,

LEVEL 4-Fasting-Matthew 6:16-18.

The disciples of Jesus Christ had a major problem.
They were able to cast out many demons in the name of Jesus Christ, until they were confronted by a fierce demon who would not go.
They called for Jesus to cast out this big and stubborn demon.
Jesus told His disciples that they could only take their faith to this level of power by prayer and fasting.
Fasting has a vital role to play in sustaining the anointing.
Fasting releases the anointing and helps to loosen the chain of wickedness, undo the heavy burden, set free the oppressed and to break every yoke of bondage-Isaiah 58:1-12; Isaiah 61.
All great men of God were successful because they fasted. Jesus Himself fasted 40 days, this empowered Jesus mightily for ministry.
Fasting schedule for the year could go as follows:-

One day weekly, one week monthly, one month annually.

You could also try one day weekly, you will have done 52 days annually. Fasting must go together with prayer.

LEVEL 5-Impartation.

“For we are not overextending ourselves (as though our authority did not extend to you), for it was to you that we came with the gospel of Christ; not boasting of things beyond measure, that as your faith is increased, we shall be greatly enlarged by you in our sphere”-2 Cor. 10:14-15.

Faith is increased in the hearts of God’s people when they gather together in corporate setting to hear the word of God taught and also to fellowship with one another.
Impartation is the ability to give unto others that which God has given to either sovereignly or through other anointed vessels of God.
A divine impartation may come upon us directly from God to enable us to do what we’ve not been able to do before.
For instance, when the burden of leadership became too heavy to Moses, he cried out to God about it. God’s response was to get Moses to gather together 70 men of the elders of Israel-Numbers 11:16-17.
God divinely imparted of the spirit of Moses to the 70 elders.
When the impartation was done the 70 elders began to prophecy-they had never prophesied before in their lives.
The impartation enabled them to take on greater responsibility to support Moses, to minister to the people and to release the Holy Spirit out of their lives to bless others in a more powerful way.
Impartation is a transfer of power from one to many, through laying of hands, prophetic word or prophetic martle.
Impartation is usually done by laying on of hands or by speaking the prophetic words-Romans 1:11-12.
Impartation has to do with the giving and receiving of spiritual gifts, blessings, healing, baptism in the Holy Spirit, for the work of the ministry.
Impartation is the transference of power and faith, the invisible flowing of spiritual ability from one to the other.
Every great destiny is a product of an encounter with the impartation of grace.
No great destiny can be in isolation, it is access to diverse grace that makes a great destiny.
Impartation is essentially a spiritual platform for the duplication and multiplication of grace.
You cannot give what you don’t have-Acts 3:6.

CONCLUSION

The highest level of faith is impartation the transfer of faith, anointing and spiritual gifts through laying of hands, prophetic word or prophetic martle.
