DELIVERANCE FROM DESTRUCTIVE PROPHECIES

TEXT: I SAMUEL 17:4-58                   

INTRODUCTION

Prophecy is history in advance.I t is foretelling or prediction. There are good and evil prophecies.There are harmless prophecies and there are harmful prophecies. Evil prophecies can be destroyed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.Goliath challenged the people of Israel twice per day for forty days. He came eighty times saying “Bring a man to come and fight me, Bring your champion If I defeat him you become our slaves but if he defeats me, we become your slaves”. God was watching him all these eighty times. Goliath had managed to beat the armies of Israel hand down. We know true soldiers when giants come to battle. David was not impressed with Goliath at all. He said “who is this man? How can this fellow defy the armies of God?” Without Goliath, there would be no David. So it was Goliath that really produced David. Your challenge can build up your destiny (I Samuel 17:41-43) Goliath called for demonic assistance. See the destructive prophecy against David (verse 44). Verse 45 David issued a counter-prophecy. You must counter destructive prophecies upon your life.

When two prophecies counter each other, the prophecy backed by Jehovah God must win (verse 46-47). Goliath had a very big head, so the stones of David had no problem locating it.” The bigger the challenge, the easier to overcome”. Immediately the strongman in charge of your problem is brought down all the small problems must scatter.

Let us learn:-

I.  WHAT IS PROPHECY?

• Prophecy is history in advance, like prayers there come good prophecies and bad ones. There are satanic prophecies.
• There are verbal prophecies, mental, silent and loud prophecies. There are good wishes and evil wishes. Silent prophecies and wishes can be deadly because the perpetrator is unknown

II.  WHAT CONSTITUTES EVIL AND DESTRUCTIVE PROPHECIES?

1. Horizontal curses

• These are curses between men.They are destructive prophecies issued against people.

2. Clinical prophecies

• These are satanic clinical prophecies issued by doctors upon people’s lives.
• A doctor can see what the devil wants him to see
• A doctor can tell a person that he has a condition which the person does not have.
• The moment the person believes it, he will begin to have it( HIV). The man who killed the entire family and himself yet the results were fake.

3. Incantations
4. Spells; someone upon whom a spell has been cast will do the wrong things
5. Hypnotism. It is the weapon used by kidnappers whereby they brainwash to prophesy to people in order to make them fools
6. Evil wishes
7. Satanic prayers
8. Consultation with satanic prophets
9. Self– imposed curses-you can curse yourself.
10. Fortune telling, Astrology, Horoscope, Envious expectations, Inner murdering spirit, satanic letters, Circular letters, Mimicking evil songs, Prayer of sinners on your behalf.

III. WHY ARE THESE PROPHECIES DANGEROUS?

• They are dangerous because words have destructive powers.
• Words can travel from generation to generation.
• An evil prophecy has the power to redirect your destiny.
• These evil prophecies have a “shadowing power” that is why David issued a counter-prophecy immediately.

IV.  WHY DESTRUCTIVE PROPHECIES FLOURISH IN THE LIVES OF CHRISTIANS.(HEB. 5:12-14)

• Immaturity is a deadly thing in the life of believers.

V.  HOW DO WE DEAL WITH DESTRUCTIVE PROPHECIES

1. Repent of any known sin and stop issuing curses on yourself
2. Constantly recharge yourself with the fire of God.” I charge my body with the fire of God in Jesus name”
3. Bind every evil word targeted at you
4. Reverse evil prophecies
5. Command evil and stubborn destructive prophecies to back-fire. Destroy their effects and consequences.
6. Always barricade your life from further attacks.

• Remember, that there are powers and personalities that are not happy as you move about in your life
• The battles of life are very real
• All playful curses that parents, siblings, friends and others issue against you are destructive. You must counter
• The power of the blood of Jesus Christ is all sufficient to destroy all evil prophecies

CONCLUSION.

Prayer Points:

1. Every hanging power waiting to attack my blessing, destroy your owners in the Name of Jesus Christ
2. Every power contrary to my destiny, die in the Name of Jesus Christ.
3. You curse of Goliath over my father’s house, die in The Name of Jesus Christ.
4. You curse of limitations, destructive prophecy and curses go back to your sender in Jesus Name
