DETECTING AND DESTROYING CURSES

ROMANS 10:15

INTRODUCTION

In Africa it is common to issue curses on people. When people are angry they issue curses, some people curse their own children every morning. Wives curse their husbands, husbands curse wives, students curse teachers and teachers curse their students.

Let us learn:-

I.  WHAT IS A CURSE ?

It can mean many things.

1. Uttering a wish of evil against somebody or a thing.
2. Calling for mischief or injury to fall upon a person.
3. Binding a person, a thing or a place with a spell.
4. An evil pronouncement against a person, a place or a thing, inanimate objects such as shoes, cars, buildings, clothes, food etc. can be subject to curses.
5. Vehicles of evil supernatural powers which can be transferred and can continue from generation to generation.
6. A curse is the opposite of a blessing.
7. A kind of fence to protect demons and give them a legal ground to operate.

While some curses are disappearing, satanic agents renew some day by day- Curse re-enforcement.

• Romans 10:15– when gospel preachers enter into a place they bring in beautiful things.
• When Philip arrived in Samaria there was much joy deliverance and salvation.
• When Agents of Satan enter a city they bring curses.
• When you employ a Satanist in your shop, business will go down.
• When your housemaid is devil worshiper, your husband will become poor, your wife will become poor, instead of buying property you start selling it.
• Your spiritual life goes down because of their ugly feet.
• Matthew 10:14-15– when the preacher of the gospel shakes the dust off his feat, the place is cursed.
• A person’s feet may carry blessings or curses.

II.  HOW DO YOU RECOGNIZE BAD FEET ?

1. They introduce bad luck into the environment.
2. They go about purposelessly and aimlessly.
3. They go from place, thinking that geographical relocation is the answer.
4. They move from marriage to marriage and woman to woman, man to man thinking the next one is better.
5. They have peppery feeling all over their legs.
6. They succeed at nothing.

III. HOW DO YOU RECOGNIZE BAD HANDS ?

• Zachariah 4:9- Bad hand do not finish the work they started.
• Ecclesiastes 6:1– Cursed hands do projects, get riches, wealth and honor but the person does not enjoy the fruit thereof but a stranger eateth it– Vanity and evil disease !!
• The hands that are cursed will not finish any good thing.
• Anything a cursed hand touches does not work or it works abit and packs up. Such a hand introduces problems into the thing.
• Unprofitable trading– Cursed hands are unprofitable in business.
• You start a business of selling food, you end up eating it yourself.
• There is need for you to anoint your hands and break the yoke of the curse.
• Unprofitable doctors and mid wives, unprofitable tailors, carpenters and masons would always spoil people’s houses, furniture and clothes. They are always in debt though earning.
• Lack of money– it is normal for cursed hands to lack.
• Demonic curses are very hard working.

IV.  HOW TO DETECT A CURSE.

• There are many ways of detecting curses.

1. Those who mistreat the Jews fall under a curse (Gen.12:3)
2. Any body who is a willing deceiver comes under curse (Jer.48:10)
3. An adulterous man or woman fall under a curse (Nu.5:27)
4. Disobedience to God (Deut.28, Lev.26)
5. Idolatry, any form of idolatry brings a curse (Ex.20:5)
6. Those who keep or own cursed objects (Deut.7:25-26)
7. The house of the wicked is cursed (Pro.3:33) (Witches, wizards, Lodge members, occultist etc.)
8. Refusal to give to the poor (Prob.28:27)
9. Those who swear falsely, thieves, corruption (Zech.5:4)
10. Refusing to give God the Glory (Isa.48:11)
11. Those who rob God tithe and offering (Mal.3:9)
12. Those who insult their parents come under a curse (Deut.27:16)
13. All the sins in Deuteronomy 27.

• Are you a lender or a borrower, do you enjoy God’s favor, are you increasing, Are you head or tail ?
• The effects of curse include, poverty, debt, failure, chronic sickness, torments, insanity, deceit, regular suicide and family breakdown.
• In Africa the biggest curse is idolatry (psalm 115:1-8)

V.  HOW TO BREAK CURSES.

• All curses are broken on the basis of Gal.13:13-14 and Col.2:14.
• Repent from all known and unknown sins.
• Renounce all ancestral sins.
• Accept God’s forgiveness, forgive all who have offended you.
• Renounce all contacts with demonic religions and objects.
• Destroy any demonic object in your possession including devil’s music.
• Obey God, claim the blessing that is, after a replacement.

CONCLUSION.

Pray;

1. I break and loose myself from all curses in the Name of Jesus .
2. Every demonic bondage through parents and ancestors break in the Name of Jesus.
3. I choose blessings and I refuse curses, I claim life and not death, In the Name of Jesus
4. Every demonic agent, reinforcing a curse in my life release me, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
