Disciple means living a guarded life, guided by set rules and principles, the ability to control yourself. What some have said about discipline:-

Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.
Your level of success is determined by your level of discipline and perseverance.
Discipline is the architect of success.
True freedom is impossible without a mind made free by discipline.
Discipline not just determines success but determines how long you can stay successful.
If we don’t discipline ourselves the world will do it for us.
A disciplined mind leads to happiness and un discipline mind leads to suffering.
Self- discipline starts with the mastery of your thoughts.
We don’t have to be smarter than the rest, we have to be more disciplined than the rest.
Discipline is wisdom and vice versa.
Discipline creates opportunity.

WHAT APOSTLE PAUL SAID ABOUT DISCIPLINE-1^st Cor. 9:27.

Paul the greatest evangelist and apostle said “I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.”

WHAT KING SOLOMON SAID ABOUT DISCIPLINE.

Proverbs 25:28; A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.
Proverbs 16:32b; He who rules his spirit is better (stronger) than he who taketh (conquers) a city.

DISCIPLINE; WHERE NOT TO GO.

Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere, I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.

DISCIPLINE: WHERE TO SIT, WHERE TO STAND.

Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of the sinners nor sits in the seat of scoffers.

DISCIPLINE: WHAT THOUGHTS TO THINK.

Psalm 66:18-If I regard iniquity in my heart the Lord will not hear me.
Philippians 4:8-Whatever is true, noble, right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent; think about such things.

DISCIPLINE: WHAT NOT TO SPEAK.

2^nd Timothy 2:16; avoid godless chatter for it will lead to more ungodliness.
Ephesians 4:29, “let no corrupt talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.
1^st Peter 3:10; for whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit.
Proverbs 21:23; whoever keeps his mouth and his tongue keeps himself out of trouble.

DISCIPLINE: CHASTITY.

1^st Thess. 4:4; you must possess your body in holiness (sanctification and honor).

CONCLUSION

You cannot fly higher in life than the discipline you put on yourself.
