DOMINION OVER GRAVEYARD SPIRITS

HOSEA 13:14

INTRODUCTION

Dominion is power, rule, authority and control over something or situation. God has given His children dominion. Dominion is exercised on the grounds of a vital personal relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ and an ever growing fellowship with God. A graveyard is a place where the dead are buried, we have physical and spiritual graveyards. Spiritual graveyards are where people are buried spiritually by demonic powers and wicked people serving as satanic agents.

People’s virtues, glory, destiny and goodness can be taken by these wicked powers and buried. When things have been collected and buried, there is trouble unless you understand how to withdraw what has been buried.

As you can see in the scripture referred above, the grave has some powers which are behind certain things which people call difficult cases, this is because they have been discovered and demolished.

Difficult cases are situations where all the secrets behind it are not known and because of that ignorance, the enemy keeps winning and rejoicing over the victim.

No matter how difficult a problem is, the resurrection power of Jesus can deliver and a lasting solution by revealing the problem and totally uprooting them. The child of God has been given power and dominion to uproot and to destroy, the power to plant and to build (Jer. 1:10)

Let us learn:-

I.  THE DESCRIPTION OF THE GRAVEYARD SPIRITS (MARK 5:1-6)

• Just as we have physical graveyards, there are spiritual graveyards where goods things are buried.
• The spiritual burial will make fulfilment of destiny and life purpose difficult or impossible.
• The grave has power “the power of the grave” (Psalms 49:15) “but God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave, for He will take me.”
• It is a place of decay, desolation and being forsaken (Psalm 88:5)
• It is a place of darkness, defilement, corruption and pollution (Lev 21:11, Numbers 6:6, 9:6-10, 19:11)
• Satan may not stop you from having goals, plans and decisions to move your life forward, but he will make effort to subject your good proposal, plans, purposes, goals to demonic attacks so that you never achieve them.
• When Satan is done with his evil, he starts to showcase something about the grave in your dreams as evidence.
• Do not take such things lightly, deal with the issues immediately.
• The goodness, however, is that Jesus Christ has commanded the grave to be swallowed up by the power of the resurrection.
• The graveyard spirit is an “embargo”. It puts a stop or limitation on destinies or good prospects – it can make a person spend years on a project without a headway.
• In the graveyard, things decay, you have horrible odours and sights. Things go from bad to worse. Potentials become relics of their former selves.
• Graveyard spirit signifies the end of glory and beginning of shame. It is the beginning of hopelessness, helplessness and non-achievement in life.
• When Lazarus was raised from the dead, he had to be loosed from graveyard clothes, otherwise, he will be a living dead person, good for nothing (John 11:41-44).

II.  THE DESTRUCTION BY THE GRAVEYARD SPIRITS

• The spirit of the graveyard can pursue a person right from the mother’s womb. (Jeremiah 20:17-18)
• The spirit of the graveyard cripples and blinds its victims so that they cannot fulfil their divine purpose (John 11:44)
• In the graveyard, humans beings go back to the dust from where they come.
• Virtues, knowledge, wisdom, potentials and goodness are wasted in the grave. (Ecclesiastes 9:10; Isa 14:11)
• The grave has spiritual gates where many things happen (Isa.38:10)
• There are demonic powers present at this gate and demonic transactions and decisions take place at the gate of the grave.
• Evil men and women are interested in the gate. There they confer with the grave spirits to make wicked decisions, they release afflictions on their victims and send evil winds to attack their victims.
• Evil winds bring; sickness, insanity, paralysis and confusion. This wind can destroy businesses, careers, marriages and families.

III.  REVELATION OF THE GRAVEYARD SPIRITS

• Seeing dead relatives, friends and neighbours in dreams especially eating or sleeping or talking with them.
• Having dreams of being buried or seeing the coffin.
• Experiencing constant rejection and isolation
• Experiencing opposition to help and difficult in receiving favor. Self-dominating sins and powers.
• A lot of people are forgotten where good things are taking place because the virtues in their lives have been buried, hijacked, transferred, polluted or changed.
• Being pursued or bitten by snakes, scorpions, dogs or any dangerous animals.
• Getting married to dead persons in the dream or having your money and other precious things taken by the dead.
• When things get finished or destroyed at your turn and good things failing in your hands.
• Having sickness and health problems that defy medicine, having business, career and marriage failure.
• When you are always having thoughts of hopelessness and considering suicide.
• When you experience a long delay in achieving success in aspects of life.

IV.  DELIVERANCE FROM GRAVEYARD SPIRITS

• You cannot fulfil your destiny when several departments of your life are not spiritually available.
• Deliverance can only come through the resurrection power of Jesus.
• Take the following steps:-

1. Repent of your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour.
2. Live a sanctified life, walk in obedience to the word of God, live right with God.
3. Recognize the powers of the grave, by examining your life and dreams critically, examine your progress or lack of it.
4. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ for immunity over your plans (Rev. 12:11)
5. Pray against the limiting power of the grave with the strength of the Holy Spirit.
6. Remember the enemy is not a respecter of anyone, he came to steal, kill and destroy (Jn. 10:10)
7. The enemy may have succeeded in keeping your destiny in some kind of coffins.
8. Wage war against this terrible spirit, if you don’t, this spirit will stop you. (Eph. 6:10-12) the kingdom suffers violence and the violent takes it by force.
9. Receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit power (Isaiah 10:27)

Now, take dominion, power, authority and rule over graveyard spirits, in the Name of Jesus Christ Yes you can.
