EXPANDING YOUR DESTINY.

SERIES: SPIRITUAL BREAKTHROUGHS.

TEXT: ISAIAH 54:1

Destiny is the reason for living-Luke 24:44. Without fulfilling your destiny you become a failure. Without fulfilling it you are here in vain. Destiny is so important that accidents in destiny must be avoided. Adam and Eve were deceived and lost their eternal heritage. Adam’s destiny was derailed because of sin.

The young prophet of 1^st Kings 13 lost his destiny. He was lied to by an old prophet. Gehazi through covetousness sought to deceive Elisha. He got his destiny destroyed on the platform of materials.

Many ladies are lost today because of temporal things.

Gehazi could have gotten a fantastic ministry but he died on the way.

Anger and wrong words-Psalm 106:32-33; Numbers 20:7-12, let Moses not get to the Promised Land. Samson because of adultery lost his destiny-Judges 16:1-41. Destiny is the predetermined plan sent straight from the creator concerning the fate and future of his priced creation which is you.

You and I need to expand our destiny and seek a breakthrough in this area.

In Isaiah 54:1, “Sing oh barren you who have not born! Break forth into singing and cry aloud you who have not labored with child! For more are the children of the desolate than the children of the married woman.” Says the Lord.

There are many Christians today who are discouraged and despondent because they feel they are barren and producing nothing in their lives. They seemingly experience the same cycles of failures and struggles.

Prophetically, this is the time to start singing because things are about to change for those who have been faithful and expecting a breakthrough. God is about to expand those who have exercised their faith and have refused to give up.

Others may have declared that you are desolate and in lack but God says He is going to expand you so that you can produce and become prosperous. This is a time to sing a new song to the Lord. Let us notice:-

A SEASON OF SUPERNATURAL BLESSINGS- Isaiah 54:2-4

• We are living in the time of supernatural favor and finances that is what is God is releasing upon people of faith.
• God says the wealth of the unrighteous is laid upon for the righteous and God is going to expand His children supernaturally.
• When God expands you and begins to bless you, He does not bless you with small things.
• He is going to take your seed, labor and faith and extend you to the ends of the earth.
• He will extend your descendants and they will inherit those things that God is going to expand in your life.
• God is going to set in order the things of the past.
• Perhaps there has been struggles, shame and disappointments in your life.
• Perhaps you have been a leader over a few people, God is going to increase your responsibilities and make you a leader over many.
• God will expand those things that have been built in the spirit and He will manifest there in the natural realm.

POSITION YOURSELF FOR EXPANSION

• Here are a few things that God wants us to establish so that we can be positioned for supernatural blessings.

1. Spiritual base.

• You need to have a spiritual base if you want God to bless you.
• You need to have a base where you can grow.
• Some Christians have no spiritual base, they leave too soon and they have no staying power.
• They built up a measure of success for a time but then move on.
• They have no base from where to fight.
• It is important for you to have a home base, a local church ministry.
• There is no better church because all churches have the same problems.
• But find a word based, spirit filled church and serve that church.
• God cannot expand something that has no roots.

2. Connect with the anointing.

• You need to connect with the anointing.
• When you connect with people, their success becomes your success.
• When you connect with the anointing, you connect with God- Acts 1:8.
• The anointing upon your life is not local anointing, but it is for the ends of the earth.
• Make sure you are connected with people who are anointed so that their success becomes your success.
• Fall in love with your life’s purpose and your destiny.

3. Build in the spirit- Gal.5:16-18.

• When you make a decision for God, there is going to be a battle between the spirit and the flesh.
• The spirit and the flesh are opposed to each other.
• The flesh does not see what the spirit sees.
• Many times we react by what we see in the flesh but the flesh is at war with the spirit which sees something different.
• If you want to be expanded in your destiny, see what the spirit sees and be blind to what you see in the natural.
• What you see in the natural can declare that you are doomed.
• When you are led by the spirit, you are not under the law-that means there are no physical limitations and boundaries.
• The law refers to physical limitations but where you are led by the spirit, physical laws don’t apply to you.
• Philip walking in the spirit was transported in the spirit. He overcame physical limitations of travel.
• The spiritual breakthrough enables us to live the supernatural and the abundant life that Christ gives to us- John 10:10.
• To enter into destiny is like pregnancy.
• The joy is not getting pregnant, rather the rejoicing is in giving birth.
• Just like there are people who get pregnant but are never able to deliver successfully, there are a lot of people with glorious destiny without the ability to give birth- Isaiah 37:3.
• To enter into your destiny, you need strength to bring forth.
• You need physical, mental, spiritual, emotional and social strength.

CONCLUSION

• Without Jesus Christ, we have no destiny.
• God controls destiny not astrology, horoscopes, crystal balls, religions, new age or spiritism.
• God cares about our destiny.
• Are you sure you know and love Jesus Christ?
• Today, expand your destiny in Jesus Christ.
