TEXT: 2^nd SAMUEL 5:17-20

Breakthroughs are divine interventions that disrupt stagnation and usher in forward movement.

Breakthroughs come when barriers give way, when impossibilities bow, when divine power overrides natural limitations.

The God we serve is not limited by circumstances. He is the God of the breakthroughs.

Many people face spiritual, financial, emotional or physical walls that seem impenetrable. But there is no situation too strong for God to break through.

God has all power to burst through demonic resistance, ancestral limitations and every form of delay or denial.

Throughout the Bible, we see God breaking through for His people in marvelous ways. Our God parts the seas, collapses walls, opens closed wombs, releases captives. This our God is the same yesterday, and today and forever. He still does it today. When we trust and yield to Him, He shows up as the Lord of the Breakthrough.

Let us get to know better this God:-

GOD BREAKS THROUGH LIMITATIONS.

• There is no limit that God cannot override when He decides to move.

1. God makes a way where there is no way (Isaiah 43:19)

• He creates new paths in deserts and rivers in dry places.

2. No human opposition can hinder God’s move (Psalm 33:10-11)

• God frustrates the plans of the enemy and establishes His counsel.

3. God breaks through emotional and mental walls (Psalms 34:17-18)

• God brings healing where there is heaviness and brokenness.

4. God lifts His people beyond natural limitations (Zechariah 4:7)

• Mountains melt before Him and become plains.
• When the Red Sea stood before Israel, God parted it by His mighty power (Exodus 14:21-22).

GOD OFTEN BREAKS THROUGH SUDDENLY.

• God’s intervention can happen instantly transforming situations overnight.

1. Divine breakthroughs can happen in a moment (Acts 12:6-11)
   • When Peter was in chains, the Angel of God released him in one night.
2. The God of suddenly still moves today. (Malachi 3:1)

• When God comes suddenly, nothing remains the same.

3. Divine timing is the key to breakthroughs. (Ecclesiastes 3:1)

• God visits at appointed time to fulfill His promises.
• Everyday, stay positioned for divine interruptions. (Habakkuk 2:3)
• Even if it tarries, the vision will surely come.
• Paul and Silas experienced a sudden breakthrough through praise and worship in prison (Acts 16:25-26).

GOD USES STRATEGY TO RELEASE BREAKTHROUGHS.

• Breakthroughs don’t come by human wisdom, they are by divine instructions.

1. Obedience unlocks breakthrough strategies (Joshua 6:2-5).

• God gave Israel specific instructions to bring down Jericho walls.

2. Faith in God’s method brings results (2nd Kings 5:10-14)

• Naaman obeyed an unusual command and received healing.

3. Breakthroughs often comes through worship and praise (2nd Chronicles 20:21-22)

• Judah praised God and God set ambushments against their enemies.
• You must follow God’s patterns to see His power (Proverbs 3:5-6)
• Lean not on your own understanding but acknowledge Him in all your ways.
• David inquired the Lord and received divine direction that led to breakthrough (2nd Samuel 5:17-20).

GOD RELEASES BREAKTHROUGH FOR KINGDOM PURPOSES.

• Breakthroughs are not just to comfort us. They align us with God’s agenda.

1. Breakthroughs glorify God and advance His Kingdom. (John 9:1-3)
   • The healing of the blind man was to reveal God’s glory.
2. God breaks through to establish His will on earth. (Matthew 6:10)
   • Breakthroughs release divine plans and answers to prayers.
3. Testimonies of Breakthrough inspire others to prayer. (Revelations 12:11)

• Your victory story becomes a weapon of encouragement.

4. God’s Favour produces Breakthrough for influence. (Esther 2:17)

• Esther’s breakthrough positioned her to serve a nation.
• Joseph’s breakthrough in Egypt was for National preservation (Genesis 41:39-41)

CONCLUSION

• The God of the breakthroughs has not changed. He is still mighty in battle, still able to scatter limitations, shatter barriers and release His people into new dimensions.
• It does not matter what stage you are in your life- if you only believe, you will see the power of God working in your favor.
• In this season, expect sudden turnarounds, divine instructions and supernatural open doors.
• Whatever has resisted your life progress till now will bow to the Lord of the breakthroughs.
• Will you align your heart, listen to the voice of God and obey when He calls without hesitation.
• You are next in line for a mighty visitation! Do you believe it?

PRAY

• Lord break through every limitation and barrier in my life.
• Father, release divine strategies for my breakthrough.
• Let every chain holding me down be shattered by your power.
• I receive grace to walk in obedience to divine instructions.
• Let breakthrough glorify your name and advance your purpose.
