GOD’S PLAN FOR YOUR INCREASE

ISAIAH 51:2

INTRODUCTION

God has a plan for your increase, He wants you to live your life to the full. Let us look at the life of Abraham and his journey of faith to gain an understanding of God’s principles for the supernatural increase. You and I must believe that it is the will of God for us to increase in life. However, it is not a curse to start small in life, but God’s will is for us to increase as life progresses. Don’t settle for a small life. Smallness is not God’s plan for you.

• Job 8:7- Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter should greatly increase.
• God is mindful of us and our children, He has a plan to increase us in all areas of life (Psalms 115:12-15)
• It is the blessings of God that set us on the path of increase
• The blessing of God empowers us to succeed in all areas of life (3John 2)

Let us learn:-

I.  CONSIDER FATHER ABRAHAM

• 51:2, God says “look unto Abraham your father and unto Sarah that bore you, For I called him alone and blessed him, and increased him”
• I called him, I blessed him, I increased him
• God admonishes us to draw inspiration from Abraham.
• Abraham is a perfect example and proof of how God’s grace can turn a nobody into greatness through a covenant relationship with God.
• God’s increase is not accidental, it is a process of the “Call” the “Blessing” and the “increase”

II.  THE COVENANT WALK

• God said to Abraham, I am the Almighty God, walk before me and be perfect and u will make my covenant between me and you and I will multiply you exceedingly (Gen.17:1-2)
• God was looking for a man that will partner with Him to establish God’s purpose on earth.
• Abraham was the man, but God had to establish a basis (framework) for mutual trust, so God cot a covenant relationship with Abraham.
• A covenant is the strongest and most trusted relationship. A covenant demands sacrifice and lifelong commitment for the parties (Psalm 89:34)
• When two parties enter into a covenant, they are saying to each other “I am now yours and all I have is yours”
• “I will put your interest first, I will hold nothing back from you”
• “Your enemy becomes my enemy and I will fight anyone who fights you”
• God then tested Abraham-Sacrifice your only son- The test of a relationship is a sacrifice (Gen 22:16-18)
• This was the turning point in Abraham’s life “The place of obedience and sacrifice”
• This was Abrahams journey to greatness (3 religions are called Abrahamic)
• When God finds His Abraham- He will bless and increase him or her greatly.
• Your Background is not the issue, your qualification is not the issue. God’s grace overrides background and qualification.
• God wants a covenant relationship of obedience and sacrifice.

III.  UNLEASHING YOUR POTENTIAL FOR INCREASE (John 12:24)

• The potential of a grain of wheat to produce and multiply is released when the grain is planted in the earth.
• Some people are so selfish and unable to break out of their small “self-centred life”
• Life is a seed waiting to be planted. Unless we die to self- live for God- serve others, we remain alone.
• Abraham accepted to leave his country, people and things to follow where God was leading- He is now great and a Father of all faithful.

CONCLUSION

Please stand and make the following declarations:

1. I dedicate my life to God in the Name of Jesus Christ.
2. I reaffirm that I have a covenant relationship with God and nothing shall separate me from His love-in Jesus Name.
3. I declare that I have a heart of obedience and sacrifice and I walk in the leading of God.
4. I declare that the blessing of God is on me and the blessing of God overrides my background and qualifications.
5. I declare that God’s will for me is an increase in all areas of life, therefore I refuse to be small in Jesus Name.
6. I break from all forms of limitations, stagnancy and setbacks in the name of Jesus.
7. I declare that prosperity is mine! The days of smallness are over in my life and I receive God’s grace for a supernatural increase- In Jesus Name.
