HOW CAN I PAY GOD BACK

PSALM 116:12-13

“What shall I render unto the Lord for His benefits towards me? I will take the cup of salvation and call upon the Name of the Lord!”

When we look back to our past, we realize what the Lord has done in our lives. Tonight let us reason together on “How can I pay God back?”

Let us see:-

I.  WHAT HAS THE LORD DONE

• We all look at the trashcan of our own memory.
• The Lord has done a finished work.
• A work that justifies our sin and sanctifies our present.
• A work that gives us grace for our faults.
• Wherever there is grace there is joy.
• When was it last, when you surveyed your own story?
• How much do you really owe God?
• You can’t write God a check and pay Him off
• God has given you grace and favor.
• God’s grace and favor are benefits.

II.   HOW CAN I PAYBACK TO GOD?

• I will take the cup of salvation.
• You pay back to God by taking more from Him. Psalm 24:1 (Everything belongs to Him)
• There are cups in the Bible;

1. A cup of suffering- we share in the suffering of Christ.
2. A cup of blessing (Psalm 23)- My cup runs over v.5
3. A cup of salvation- Transforms us (II Cor. 5:17)

III.   CALL UPON THE LORD

• In praise
• In worship
• In prayer
