LIBERTY THROUGH THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

ISAIAH 10:27

 INTRODUCTION

God gave this message to the children of Israel concerning their enemies – Assyria. God tells them that through the anointing of His Holy Spirit the Assyrian yoke was to be broken. This promise of God to Israel to break bondage is effectively yours if you accept it by faith. We need the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our lives, we don’t have to face the trials of life all alone. When you have the anointing of the Holy Spirit in the inside, you can face and stand any kind of battle on the outside. Through the anointing, the gospel is preached (Luke 4:18-19, Isa 58:6)

The anointing of the Holy Spirit destroys the works of the devil (John 10:10, I John 3:8). Many believers in Christ ought to have moved higher in Life, but they are tied down to one location by bondage and yokes of evil. The anointing is very powerful to destroy every satanic bondage and yokes. Through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ did great things, healing the sick, delivering the oppressed and raising the dead (Acts 10:38). Through the anointing, we shall tread upon serpents and scorpions and overcome all powers of the enemy, without being hurt (Luke 10:19-20). Through the anointing, we will be able to proclaim liberty to the captives, while having freedom and victory over every yoke and bondage of the devil. Let us learn:

I.  UNDERSTANDING SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES.

• The kingdom of darkness is described in the Bible as principalities, powers, Rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph.6:12)
• These dark powers specialize in doing wickedness to people without showing mercy. You cannot be too nice to escape wickedness, you don’t need to offend them before they show their wickedness. They are called the wicked.
• There are many people that are victims of satanic oppression, yokes and bondages. This manifest in retardation of progress and absence of breakthroughs in many areas of life.
• Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of oppression and affliction used to limit a person’s growth, promotion, fulfilment and breakthrough. This forms a hindering barrier (I Cor. 16:9)
• Satanic yokes and bondages are devices of torments, afflictions and sufferings in the lives of people (Exodus 3:7-9).
• Satanic yokes and bondages are devices used to monitor, capture and destroy the glory of people, thereby keeping them in obscurity.
• Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of injecting trouble into people’s comfort, and sorrow into their blessings, so that they will not have the fullness of Joy (Gen. 39:1-7)
• Satanic yokes and bondages are devices used to manipulate peoples divine destinies, and tamper with the divine arrangement in people’s lives (I Sam 13:11-14), through mistakes of life.
• Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of crumbling or devouring people’s health, wealth and reputation built over many years.
• Satanic yokes and bondages are devices for attacking people harvest, making them to labour in vain without reaping their good harvest (Judges 6:3-6)

II.  THE CATEGORIES OF SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES.

• Satanic yokes bondages can be divided into different categories based on the mission the kingdom of darkness is set to achieve. They have three principal missions; to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10)

1. Evaluating mission

• When the enemy wants to shake you to evaluate your faith, all they are interested in is your backsliding or denial of Faith.
• They make you pass through several difficulties, trails, delays, failures, disappointments and loses, just for you to renounce your faith (Job 2:9-10)
• Sometimes the enemy brings great temptations at the verge of your victory and breakthrough (Gen 39:7-12)

2. Blindfolding mission

• When the enemy does everything possible to prevent a man from hearing the Gospel or from responding positively to the gospel (II Cor. 4:3-4)

3. Ridiculing mission

• When the enemy is all out to reproach you and put you to shame, such as through lacks, failures, disappointment, delays or attacks (II Chron. 20:12)

4. Frustration mission

• When the enemy is set to disturb your peace and frustrate you. It may be a strategy to distract you from serving God or regretting your service unto God (2 Kings 4:17-20)

5. Obstructing mission

• The devil may come out to resist your blessings and breakthroughs. They work to oppose your ways, your visions and dreams (Gen 37:18-20)

6. Avenging Mission

• This is when the enemy comes to avenge on the trouble you caused in their kingdom by your prayers, preaching to save and deliver souls (I Kings 13:4-22)
• They can also avenge your discontinuation or unfaithfulness to the former covenant you made with them, or that was made on your behalf with them.

7. Killing mission

• When the enemy is ready to kill, they usually make use of the spirit of death to monitor their target or shoot arrows of death remotely against the target
• They can succeed in killing people before their time (John 11:1-4)

III.  DESTRUCTION OF SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES

• We as true children of God can experience God’s yoke destroying anointing anytime we want (James 4:8, Jer.29:13)
• There is a yoke breaking anointing, God tells us in the Bible that “I will make a way where there is no way.”
• Man’s word is not final because man is mortal.

CONCLUSION

1. Totally surrender your life to Christ and become His child (John 1:11-12)
2. Release yourself to the Holy Spirit.
3. Receive your liberty by faith, and confess your freedom at all times as a child of God.
4. Live in obedience to the word of God, walk in his righteousness at all times. Remain in liberty and dominion. Amen.
