THE GOD WHO SHIFTS THE HEAVENS IN YOUR FAVOR.

SERIES: THE GOD WHO NEVER FAILS.

TEXT: HAGGAI 2:6-9.

God has the power to alter situations, command nature and realign spiritual forces to work in favor of His people. When He shifts the heavens everything in creation responds to bring His promises to pass in your life.

Haggai 2:6-9, “This is what the Lord Almighty says, In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth and what is desired by all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory, says the Lord Almighty. The silver is mine and the gold is mine; declares the Lord Almighty. The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former. And in this place I will grant peace; declares the Lord Almighty.” Vs. 6.

• There are moments in life when the natural order of thing seems to work against us, when prayers appear delayed and blessings feel far away. Yet, we serve a God who does not wait for circumstances to align before acting.
• God has the authority to shift the heavens to bring His purpose to pass.
• When the heavens shift, favor begins to flow, closed doors open and divine acceleration takes place.
• God’s control over the heavens signifies His ultimate dominion over creation.
• God can command the rain to fall or to cease, He can release divine provision and cause events to change in your favor.
• Every believer must understand that heaven governs the earth and the spiritual governs the physical.
• When God releases heavenly intervention, earthly situations are transformed.
• When God shifts the heavens in your favor, your life experiences divine ordering.
• Limitations are lifted, resources are released and the impossible become possible.
• The same God who shifted the heavens to feed Elijah, to bless Ruth and to exalt Joseph still moves in power today to bring His children into unprecedented favor. Let us consider:-

GOD HOLDS THE POWER TO SHIFT THE HEAVENS AND THE EARTH.

• When God moves, all creation responds. He commands the heavens to release blessings and earth to yield increase.

1. God governs both the heavens and the earth-Psalm 24:1.
   • The earth and its fullness belong to God. Nothing escapes His control or authority.
2. God speaks and creation obeys-Psalm 33:9.
   • At His word, the heavens were made and by His command, destinies are redefined.
3. God can suspend natural laws to favor His children-Joshua 10:12-13.
   • When Joshua spoke, the sun and moon stood still, heaven obeyed divine command for Israel’s victory.
4. God releases favor from the heavens for His covenant people- 28:12.
   • When heaven is open, blessings pour down that no human, force can hinder.
   • A good Biblical example, God shifted the heavens for Elijah at Mt. Carmel, sending fire and rain after years of drought-1^st Kings 18:36-45.

GOD SHIFTS THE HEAVENS TO RELEASE DIVINE FAVOR.

• When heaven moves on your behalf, it releases results in supernatural favor that divines human logic.

1. Divine favor is heaven’s response to obedience-Genesis 6:8.
   • Noah found grace (favor) in God’s sight because of his righteousness and heaven remembered him.
2. Favor turns rejection into promotion-Esther 2:17.
   • God shifts the heavens for Esther from an orphan she became queen to deliver her nation.
3. Favor causes people to remember and bless you- 41:14-44.
   • Joseph moved from prison to the palace within 24 hours, because heaven remembered and opened the book of remembrance.
4. When heaven favors you, even your enemies will serve your purpose-Proverbs 16:7.
   • God makes your adversities instruments of your elevation.
   • Ruth experienced divine favor when God shifted the heavens through Boaz’s kindness, changing her story from widowhood to royalty-Ruth 2:10-12.

WHEN HEAVENS SHIFT, BREAKTHROUGH AND RESTORATION FOLLOW.

• A shift in heaven initiates change on earth. Things that were delayed suddenly align with divine timing.

1. When God opens the heavens, righteousness and prosperity begin to flow.
   • God causes the heavens to rain blessings-Isaiah 48:8.
2. Heavens shift brings restoration of lost seasons and wasted years-Joel 2:23-26.
   • The Lord restores the years the locusts have eaten when He moves on behalf of His people.
   • God will restore to you at a higher value of that which you have lost, destroyed or stolen.
3. Divine shift releases abundance- 3:10.

• When God commands the heavens to open, you experience overflow blessings beyond measure.

4. Heavenly shift causes supernatural breakthroughs-2^nd Kings 7:1-7.

• The famine in Samaria ended overnight when God shifted the heavens through a prophetic word.
• Heaven shifted when the church prayed for Peter. He was supernaturally released from prison.

GOD SHIFTS THE HEAVENS IN RESPONSE TO PRAYER AND WORSHIP.

• Heaven responds to the voice of those who call upon the Lord in sincerity and faith.

1. Prayer brings divine attention-James 5:17-18.
   • Elijah prayed earnestly and heaven shifted to stop and later release rain.
2. Worship provokes God’s glory to manifest-2^nd Chronicles 5:13-14.
   • When the priests and singers worshipped, the heavens opened and God’s glory filled the temple.
3. Thanksgiving sustains open heavens- 4:6.
   • Gratitude keeps the flow of blessings continuous and unhindered.
4. Intercession changes the atmosphere-Daniel 10:12-13.
   • Daniels’s prayer shifted the heavens, releasing angelic intervention to deliver revelation.
   • Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises at midnight and God shifted the heavens to open the prison doors-Acts 16:25-26.

GOD SHIFTS THE HEAVENS TO ESTABLISH HIS PURPOSE ON EARTH.

• God does not move randomly, every heavenly shifts with His redemptive plan for your destiny and His kingdom.

1. God shifts situations to fulfill prophecy-Isaiah 55:11.
   • God’s word will not return void; when the time comes, heaven moves to fulfill it.
2. Divine shifts prepare the way for destiny fulfilment- 8:28.
   • Even what the devil means for evil, God rearranges for your good.
3. God’s shifts advance His kingdom agenda- 6:10.
   • When heaven moves, God’s will is done on earth as in heaven.
   • God’s interventions always magnify His holy name-John 11:4.
   • The Pentecost was a shift of God, the church was born. The church was empowered for global impact-Acts 2:1-4.

CONCLUSION

• When God shifts the heavens, every system, person and circumstance begins to change in your favor.
• The same God who moved the heavens for His people, is still at work today.
• Nothing can withstand His command; not time, nature or man.
• Therefore, live in faith, maintain a life of prayer and worship and stay aligned with His purpose.
• When the heaven moves for you, no power of darkness can stop your blessings.
• The heavens will work in your favor and your story will change to glory.
