MIRACLE CRYING

SERIES: WARFARE PRAYING

TEXT: PSALM 61:1-2; 107:26-27.

“Hear my cry, O God, attend to my prayer from the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

God wants us to utter miracle cries. Let us look at some of the miracle cry verses of the Bible.

Psalm 56:9, “When I cry unto thee, then shall my enemies turn back. This I know, for God is for me.”

Psalm 61:1-2, “Hear my cry, O God; attend to my prayer. From the ends of the earth I will cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Psalm 107:26-27, “They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths; their soul is melted because of trouble. They real to and fro and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wits end.” (That is, they have done everything they can, doctors have done their best and everybody has said “finish, this is the limit which we can help you).

  • See what they did in Vs. 28-31.
  • In Mark 10:46, Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus cried to Jesus of David. That was a miracle cry.
  • Jesus Christ was going out of Jericho on His last journey to Jerusalem and blind Bartimaeus was sitting there begging.
  • When Bartimaeus heard it was Jesus passing by he cried out “Jesus son of David, have mercy on me.”
  • In Verse 48, “And many charged him that he should hold his people (shut up, die in your blindness) but he cried all the more-he increased the volume of his cry!!
  • He refused to be silent.
  • In Verse 49-Bartimaeus’ cry did something to Jesus Christ (He stood, He could not go any further because it was impossible for Him to ignore such a deep cry).
  • Jesus called the blind man and the people called the blind man. The same people who said shut up, saying unto Him “Be of good comfort, rise He calleth thee.”
  • 50, “And he casting away his garment, rose and came to Jesus.”
  • 51 “What would you want me to do unto you? he said “Master that I might receive my sight.” Let us see:-

SPIRITUAL BLINDNESS.

  • Spiritual blindness has to do with ignorance and darkness.
  • Satan is the major cause of spiritual blindness.
  • Spiritual blindness can only be taken away by Jesus Christ who is the light of the world and the son of God-2nd 4:4.
  • Those with spiritual blindness have blind hearts, they find it difficult to understand the gospel no matter how much you preach to them.
  • Jesus Christ called the Pharisees “Thou blind Pharisees.” They were spiritually blind.
  • Jesus told them “I am the light of the world, he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness but shall have the light of life.”
  • A spiritually blind man cannot see where he is going spiritually.
  • A spiritually blind person can go to the enemy’s camp to get help.
  • Spiritual blindness is worse than physical blindness.
  • The lessons we can learn from the miracle cry of the blind Bartimaeus are:-
  1. Do not waste time: ask for the touch of the Lord while He is still around.
  • Jesus Christ never passed by the Jericho way again. Bartimaeus had his last opportunity and he made a very good use of it.
  • The preacher man Wigglesworth, an aggressive evangelist used every opportunity God gave him to win souls.
  1. Lean to cry out: Bartimaeus cried for mercy. He understood the act of begging very well and he applied it.
  • If people will take the place of blind beggars before God and call for mercy, they will find it-Rom. 10:13.
  • Learn to cry for your miracle “Lord have mercy upon me, in the name of Jesus.”
  1. Have faith: Bartimaeus had never seen Jesus Christ before, because He was a blind man.
  • By faith he believed and cried to Him for healing.”
  • The heaven’s order of things is “believing before seeing.”
  • Believe and you will see the glory of God.
  1. Do not let others kill your faith.
  • Many people asked blind Bartimaeus to keep quiet-he refused to listen to them.
  • Millions of people are kept away from the kingdom of GOD because they fear and listen to what the crowd is saying.
  • Millions of people are kept away from their breakthroughs by listening to what others will say.
  • Never let your life to be directed by the masses.
  • Bartimaeus refused to be influenced by those around him.
  1. Perseverance.
  • The reality of desire is tested through perseverance.
  1. Violent faith.
  • Another thing we learn from Bartimaeus and his miracle cry is the principle of violent faith.
  • Jesus said to him “your faith has made you whole.”
  • Jesus healed Bartimaeus because he believed and asked.
  • God honors faith. Faith is the appointed medium through which blessings come to us.
  1. Holy haste.
  • When Jesus told Bartimaeus to come, he moved like thunder, threw away his garment so that it would not hinder him.

ENEMIES OF MIRACLE CRIES.

  1. Sin is the greatest enemy of a holy cry.
  • Any willful sinner is going to the hell fire.
  1. Unbelief.
  • We must cast away the garment of unbelief to reach out for the miracle.
  1. If you hate anybody, you are murderer.
  • Believers should not be agents of hate, the only one we should hate is the devil.
  1. Unforgiving spirit.
  • If you refuse to forgive people who offend you, you will be looking for tormentors.
  1. Ingratutude.
  • If you are not grateful for what God has done for you, if you do not count your blessings, you block God’s blessings in your life.
  • Miracle cries must be aggressive. You must determine in your heart that your situation must change today.
  • God does not care even if He will remove a whole town because of one person.

MIRACLE CRIES.

  • I break every hold of witchcraft over my life, in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • I command all my battles to be converted to blessings in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • All my unfavorable situations, change now in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • You mountain confronting me, crumble now in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • I bind every desert spirit in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • I refuse to allow my past to disturb my future, in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • I bind the strongman of financial problems in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Oh Lord, convert my opposition to promotion in the name of Jesus Christ.
