SERIES: WHAT A MIGHTY GOD WE SERVE

TEXT: PSALM 139:14.

 

Of all creation the masterpiece is mankind. Man was created by God on the sixth day. “Then God said, let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over and the bodies of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth”-Genesis 1:26. And God created man in his own image in the image of GOD he created him, male and female, He created them-Genesis 1:27. And God formed the earth of dust from the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breathe of life and the man became a living soul-Genesis 2:7.

God created man differently from other animals. God created man from the dust and breathed into man. Man is different from other animals as God never breathed into any other animal. This nullifies Charles Darwin’s Theory of evolution. The flesh of other animals like monkey and the flesh of man are not like same, “All flesh is not the same flesh; but there is one kind of flesh of men another flesh of beasts, another of fishes and another of birds-1st Cor. 15:39-40. How God has fearfully and wonderfully made the body of man:-

THE HUMAN BODY CELLS.

• The average adult male has around 36,000,000,000,000 cells.
• One million cells in your body die every second, about 1.2 kg of cells of the body die every day; about 60 billion cells.
• DNA or deoxyribonucleic acid, is the hereditary material in humans and almost all other organisms. Most DNA is located in the cell nucleus. The order or sequence of the bases of the DNA is different for every human being and it determines the information available for building and maintaining an organism.
• The human body provides about 3.8 million cells every second.

THE HUMAN BRAIN.

• God created the greatest complex computer-the human brain.
• Size doesn’t matter in the brain-a bigger brain is not necessarily a smarter one.
• The brain has 160,000 kilometers of blood vessels.
• The brain controls everything in the human body; what you learn and remember, what you move and talk, your heartbeat, the digestion of food etc.

THE HUMAN EYE-Matt. 6:22-23

• The brain is the only organ in our bodies more complex than the eye.
• Over 80% of the brain’s processing is from our vision.
• The accommodation of the eye; the eye pupil’s diameter adjusts without human control to the brightness of light getting into the eye.
• The eye is placed in a socket surrounded by bones for protection.
• Every second your eye changes focus over 50 times.

THE HEART.

• It is not known what causes the heart to beat while it has to at the end of the life it stops.
• For the lifespan of an adult, the heart beats about 4 billion times.

HUMAN HAIR-Luke 12:7

• No one knows the number of hair on their head. The Bible tells us that God knows the number of hair on your head.
• About 16 kilometers of your hair grows every year.

BLOOD AND HAEMOGLOBIN-Leviticus 17:11.

• All the body cells need oxygen to burn the glycogen in the cell. This oxygen is absorbed by the hemoglobin in the blood, then the blood is pumped by the heart to all the parts of the body.
• Hemoglobin was created by God to absorb oxygen from the lungs and distribute it to all parts of the body.

HUMAN BONES.

• Bone are made of living cells.
• Bones grow eg the bone of a child are not the same length as the bones of an adult.
• Bones allow body parts to move and they protect organs from impact damage.
• Human bones radiate radioactive, isotopes that are applied to tell the age of a bone (carbon dating).

CONCLUSION

• Doctors in the word spend their life time to study just a small organ that God created and yet they never fully figure out the technicalities involved when God created the organ.
• The wisdom of God cannot be fathomed by human brain.
• The foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men-1st Cor. 1:25
