THE DAY OF DIVINE VISITATION

The hour of divine visitation is a life changing moment when God steps in to do what no man can do. It is a time of transformation, breakthrough and divine fulfilment. “And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said and the Lord did unto Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bare Abraham a son in his old age at the set time on which God had spoken to him.”

Divine visitation is a supernatural intervention of God in the affairs of men. It is a moment when God steps into a situation and turns things around for His people. We have numerous examples in the Bible when God visited individual families and Nations bringing deliverance, healing and restoration. When the hour of divine visitation comes Everything Changes. Let us learn:-

UNDERSTANDING DIVINE VISITATION.

1. What is divine visitation? (Luke 1:68)

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel because He has come to his people and redeemed them” (Purpose)

• God’s visitation brings redemption, deliverance and fulfilment of His promises.

2. What are the signs of Divine visitation?

• God’s presence is tangible and lives are transformed when He visits.

3. The timing of Divine visitation-(Ecclesiastes 3:1)

• God has an appointed time to visit His People and when that time comes nothing can stop it.

4. Biblical examples of divine visitation (Genesis 21:1-2)

• Sarah experienced divine visitation at the set time and Isaac was born.
• God does not visit for nothing!

THE IMPACT OF DIVINE VISITATION:

1. Delayed promises are fulfilled (Genesis 1:10)

• When God visits long standing dalays are broken and promises are fulfilled.

2. Bondages are broken (Exodus 3:7-8)

• The children of Israel were in bondage for 400 years when God visited them they were set free.

3. The impossible becomes possible (Luke 1:37)

• Divine visitation brings miracles beyond human understanding.

4. Divine restoration takes place (Joel 2:25)

• Whatever has been stolen is restored in the hour of divine visitation.
• The widow of Nain experienced divine visitation when Jesus raised her son from the dead-(Luke 7:13-15)

HOW TO POSITION YOURSELF FOR DIVINE VISITATION.

1. Live a life of Holiness.(Isaiah 59:1-2)

• Sin hinders divine visitation; Holiness attracts God’s presence.

2. Engage in fervent prayer (Jeremiah 33:3)

• Those who cry to God, receive divine visitation.

3. Maintain an atmosphere of faith (Heb. 11:6).

• Faith in God is a key requirement for experiencing divine visitation.
• Be sensitive to God’s timing- (Luke19:44) Many people miss their moment of divine visitation because they are not spiritually alert.
• Acts 10:1-4, Cornelius positioned himself for divine visitation through prayer and giving.

HINDRANCE TO DIVINE VISITATION.

• Doubt and unbelief are the greatest hindrances to divine visitation and blessings.
• Lack of expectation (Matt.13:5)
• Those who do not expect God’s move often miss it.
• Disobedience can hinder divine visitation and blessings.
• Spiritual lukewarmness (Revelation 3:16)
• When people become spiritually cold, they miss divine visitation moments.
• The people of Nazareth missed Jesus Christ visitation because of familiarity and unbelief- (Luke 4:24-27).

PRAYING FOR DIVINE VISITATION

• Call upon the Lord in Earnest Prayer (Psalm 102:13)
• Ask for mercy and divine intervention (Habakkuk 3:2)
• Mercy precedes divine visitation.
• Create an atmosphere for God’s presence (Psalm 22:3)
• Through worship (personal +corporate) invites divine visitation.
• Believe in the prophetic word- (2^nd Chronicles 20:20)
• God’s word carries the power to bring visitation.
• The children of Israel cried out to God while in Egypt and He visited them with deliverance. It was a cry for deliverance that called for the divine visitation (Exodus 3:7-8).

CONCLUSION

• The hour of divine visitation is a life changing moment when God steps in to do what no man can do.
• It is a time of transformation, breakthrough and divine fulfilment.
• As you prepare yourself in faith, Prayer and obedience you will experience God’s visitation that will turn your history around.

• Father, visit me today and turn my situation around.
• Lord, let every delay in my life be broken- in Jesus Name.
• Every power blocking my breakthrough be destroyed- in Jesus Name.
• Lord, Remember me and fulfil your promises in my life -in Jesus Name.
• Father let my family experience supernatural visitation and restoration- in Jesus Name.
• Lord, let my season of divine visitation begin now- in Jesus Name.
• Lord, I position myself for divine intervention in every area of my life -in Jesus Name.
• By Divine visitation, I receive my miracles today.
• Father, I believe when you visit me, my life will never be the same- in Jesus Name visit me today.
