THE GOD OF ALL FLESH

JEREMIAH 32:27

INTRODUCTION

What is the problem that has taken you out of the way of God? God wants you to know that He is able if only we let Him into our life, into our affairs. He will change our life. He will answer us when we call. Our faith in God will surprise the devil. Moses by faith surprised the devil by turning down the riches of Egypt. Elijah by faith surprised the devil by challenging the false prophets of Baal at M.t Carmel in one day. Noah surprised the devil, by faith Noah continued to be faithful for 120 years for 40days rain. Joseph by faith surprised the devil by fleeing the sexual advances of a slay queen. By faith, Job surprised the devil by the refusal to curse God, even when he had lost his fame, wealth, family, finances and health. God was asking a question to the people of Judah, “I am the God of all flesh, is anything too hard for Me?” (v.17, 27). All of us struggle at different levels with the problem of unbelief- Abraham and Sarah did struggle. Maybe you struggle in prayer- “Where was God when this happened?” you lost loved ones, job, health, family etc. the Bible says “The things that are impossible with man are possible with God” (Luke 18:27, Mark 10:27) Remember God is the “God of all flesh” Let us see our hopeless situations as wonderful opportunities to trust our Lord, Let us act in faith, let us trust God fully, Satan will be surprised while God will be glorified.

Let us learn:-

I.   FEARING BEFORE THE IMPOSSIBLE

  • The reality of our time is we are living in tough times.
  • Times are tough spiritually, economically and socially
  • Times are tough for the church and the family
  • Times are tough for the nations and citizens.
  • Today, every part of the world there are problems.
  • There is great lack, poverty, disease, sudden death, desperate needs, drought, false government, broken homes.
  • These problems have caused many people to forget Jehovah God.
  • Many people are now busy looking for quick solutions.
  • Many people don’t mind dining with the devil, all in the name of solving their problems or living a good life.
  • Many people are even willing to sell their life just to get what they want.
  • Natural reaction to these difficulties is to be fearful in the face of these situations.
  • Like King Jehoshaphat in his times of crises- Let us turn to “The God of all flesh” (2 Chron. 20:1-4)
  • He is the God of all flesh, the God of the impossible.

II.  FAITH THAT SEES THE INVISIBLE

  • Your faith in God will make you see the promised deliverance, healing, revival, restoration, blessings etc.
  • Moses foresaw the impossible when he told the children of Israel that they will never see these Egyptians again and forever.
  • Jehoshaphat saw by faith the promised victory.
  • Elisha saw by faith the protective security around them.
  • Is anything too hard for the Lord?”
  • He is still the God who is able (Eph. 3:20). He works all things after the counsel of His own will” (Eph.1:11)
  • The God of all flesh divides the red sea, He is the great physician. Is it poverty? (Haggai 2:8) Gold, silver, diamonds are His.
  • Is it shame, pain, sorrow, hardship? – He is able to turn your chaos into blessings (Jer.33:3, Isa.65:24)

III.   FAITH THAT ATTEMPTS THE IMPOSSIBLE

  • Sarah was 90yrs old- she got a baby (Gen 18:14)
  • Abraham received his son Isaac from the “Dead” (Heb.11:19)
  • Joshua and the Amorites, the sun stopped (Josh.10:12-13)
  • Jesus raised Lazarus from the grave (John 11:21)

CONCLUSION

  • What is your impossible situation today?
  • Is it too difficult for you to trust in an Almighty God?”
  • The real weakness lies not in our Father, but in our faith.
  • Let us surprise Satan, God will be glorified for faith is the victory.
