WE SHALL SING

TEXT: ISAIAH 51:1-11.

Singing is expressing in words the condition of the heart. The Bible says a day is coming when we, the redeemed of God shall sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. Isaiah 51:11-“Therefore the redeemed of the Lord shall return and come with singing unto Zion and everlasting joy shall be upon their head, they shall obtain gladness and joy and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.”

The Bible also talks about the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb. Today let us consider:- 

1. What is the song of Moses?
2. When can it be sung?
3. Who qualifies to sing it?

In Exodus 15:1-19–We find the song of Moses, but the question is; are you able to sing the song of Moses? 

Bible history reveals that Jacob left the land of Canaan for Egypt to look for food. The children of Israel were is slavery in Egypt for many years (430 years). Why did God keep them there that long? (Genesis 46:5-7 God had told Abraham in (Genesis 15:12-15).

 Why did the seed of Abraham have to go through all these?

1. God gives a picture that those heading for heaven must first become strangers/pilgrims here.

People who have not gone through bondage do not fully understand freedom.

1. Heavenly pilgrims must pass through Egypt. Egypt represents the world. Everyone who is born again has to leave Egypt.
2. Egyptians will afflict us if we remain in Egypt. That is, remaining in the world and dancing to its tune will only lead to suffering.
3. God wanted these people to pass through their period of testing.

THE SCHOOLS OF GOD.

• In essence, God is telling us that His various children will pass through various schools.

• These schools of God are for learning and developing us.

• Until we pass their exams we are not promoted to the next levels.

• Many of us are going through schools now, many of us are not even aware what is happening.

• The school of Good behavior for example, God wants you and I to be conformed into the image of His dear Son–Jesus Christ.

• God wants you to adjust your behavior.

• Until you pass, there will be no rest at all.

The school of humility; if God sees that you are not humble, He will cause you to work under people who are inferior to you until you learn the principle of humility.

• You will be complaining, “O Lord, I am more qualified than these people, I am older than them.”

• When you realize and learn the lesson of humility God will say, “okay, now you can move on.”

The school of self-control: God is taking some people through the school of self-control.

• Some of us have been out of control for years and have caused problems for themselves and are trying to solve the problems now.

• The Lord is teaching you that you must have self-control. You must tame the flesh.

• The Apostle Paul said “But I put my body under and bring it into subjection lest at anytime, when I have preached to others, I myself will be cast away.”

• The flesh can send somebody to hell-fire.

• The school of prayer:- Taking some people through the school of prayer, God will create situations that can only be solved through prayer.

• God wants to create in us the spirit of dependency and trust upon Him. Until we pass the examination we will not be allowed to enter the next level of glory.

The school of fasting.

• God will pass some people through the school of fasting

• Some of the people in the school of fasting had a lot money before and they spent it sponsoring parties, football tournament, pre-wedding parties and entertaining women!!

• Now they have nothing, friends have fled them and relatives don’t call them anymore.

• Now, they are crying. God is teaching them a lesson. He is telling these people “when I bless you again, you will know how to handle money.”

• Jesus Christ, as Son of God, went through these schools while He was on earth.

• He learnt obedience through the suffering’s He went through.

• Many people today can’t sing the song of Moses, the song of victory because they are still suffering in Egypt. They have not come out of Egypt.

• The song of Moses is sung by those who have come out bondage of sin and slavery to the elementary things of their world.

• Moses himself went through the schools of God. At age 40 Moses had learned to be somebody, at 80 Moses had learned that he was a nobody. At 120 he learned that God was everything.

• Life is learning and doing examinations, until we pass God will not promote us to the next level.

• The schools of God have some of the oldest students you will ever imagine.

• Moses started his ministry at the age of 80 years!! That was after crossing the red sea that Moses would sing “the song of Moses”.

• The song of Moses is the song of the overcomer. It is the song of the victorious ones. It is the song of the winner.

• The song of Moses is the song of a conqueror, the song of those who are more than conquerors.

• It is not the will of the father that any one live a life of bondage.

• If you find that your enemies don’t want to leave you and release you on time, you can use the methods of Moses by sending plagues upon them. After the Egyptians perished, the song of Moses was born!!

THE INITIAL AND FINAL SONGS OF VICTORY.

• Today you can qualify yourself to sing the song of Moses.
• Remember, there is initial victory and final victory.
• Our initial victory is victory over Satan, the flesh and the world.
• Our final victory is when we finally finish the race, fight the good fight, keep the faith and appear in the very presence of our Savior and Lord.
• In the final victory we can say with Martin Luther King Junior “I am free, I am free, I am free, praise God, I am free at last.
• The best victory is the final one.

WHAT IS THE SONG OF THE LAMB?-(REV. 15:3-4)

“And they sang the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song the Lamb, saying, Great and marvelous are thy works, Lord God Almighty, just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints. Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy Name? For thou only art holy. For all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgements are made manifest!!”

• The song of the Lamb is the song of the redeemed when they finally get to heaven.
• We will first sing the song of Moses before the song of the Lamb.
• Everyone in heaven sings- we will sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, then we will sing the song of the Lamb of God the one who saved us.
• Today many saints have enrolled themselves into the school of Jonah; God called them to go somewhere they said no, they said they would go where they like.
• Finally Jonah sung a song, but it was not the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.
• If you say you are saved, but you are still busy playing games with the devil you cannot sing the song of Moses and the song of the Lamb.
• To sing the song of Moses, there must be freedom from pride envy and malice, Deception and impurity.
• Fight the good fight of faith until on that day and time you will join in the song of Moses and in the song of the Lamb of God.

CONCLUSION

PRAY:-

• Every sorrow and mourning, flee away from me by fire, In Jesus Name.

• Every power working against victory in my life loose your hold now, in Jesus Name.

• I decree that the thunder and lightening of God should disappoint the camp of my enemy in Jesus Name.

• Every power stealing my property, fall down and die in Jesus Name.

• I command every evil hand upon my life to wither in Jesus Name.

• I cancel the power of all curses upon my head in Jesus Name.

• I close every door that I have opened to Satan through ignorance in Jesus Name.

• I bind the strong man working against my life in Jesus Name.

• I disband all evil hosts gathered against my progress in Jesus Name.

• I separate myself from all idols, evil streams, evil shrines present in my place of birth in Jesus Name.

• Father Lord, I thank you for victory in Jesus Name. Amen.
