WHEN GOD REMEMBERS YOU.

SERIES: LIVING YOUR DESTINY.

TEXT: GENESIS 8:1-5

 

The Phrase “GOD REMEMBERED” is not because God forgets, but it signifies divine intervention, favor and fulfillment of His promises. When God remembers you, it is a turning point in your life, His mercy and power bring about a radical change in your life.

Today let us explore what it actually means when you are remembered by God and how to position yourself for such divine remembrance.

Let us consider:-

THE MEANING OF GOD’S REMEMBRANCE.

  1. God’s remembrance is divine intervention.
  • When God remembers, He steps into your situation to bring a solution- (Psalms 121:1-2)
  1. It is fulfillment of His covenant.
  • God remembers His promises to His people and acts on them-(Exodus 2:24-25).
  1. A demonstration of His Mercy and compassion.
  • God’s remembrance is a reflection of His love and Mercy-(Psalms 136:23).
  1. A shift in circumstances.
  • When God remembers there is a turn around as seen in the life of Noah in- (Genesis 8:1).
  • When God remembered Racheal, He opened her womb and she gave birth to Joseph, changing her story of barrenness into Joy-(Gen. 30:22-24).

WHY DOES GOD REMEMBER HIS PEOPLE?

  1. To fulfill His promises.
  • God is faithful and never forgets His promises to His children-(2nd Peter 3:9)
  1. To Demonstrate His sovereignty.
  • God’s remembrance shows His power over time and circumstances- (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
  1. God remembers to bring glory to His Name.
  • When God helps it magnifies His Name-(Psalms 115:1).
  1. God remembers to deliver and bless His people.
  • God’s remembrance brings deliverance from trouble and to bring blessings beyond measure-(Psalms 40:1-2).
  • God remembered the afflictions of His people in Egypt and delivered them with a mighty hand-(Exodus 3:7-8).

HOW CAN YOU POSITION YOURSELF FOR GOD’S REMEMBRANCE?

  1. Live a life of obedience to God’s word.
  • Obedience attracts God’s favor and intervention (Deut. 28:1-2)
  1. Engage in persistent Prayer.
  • Prayer is a powerful tool to remind heaven of your needs-(Luke 18:1-8)
  1. Walk by Faith.
  • Trust God even when the situation seems hopeless-(Hebrews 11:6)
  1. Maintain a thankful heart.
  • Gratitude opens the heavens for more blessings-(1st Thessalonians 5:18)
  • Hannah’s persistent prayer (1st Samuel 1:10-20).
  • Hannah positioned herself for remembrance through fervent prayer and Faith and God answered her.

SIGNS THAT GOD HAS REMEMBERED YOU.

  1. Unexplainable Breakthroughs.
  • When God remembers, He opens doors that no man can shut-(Rev. 3:8)
  1. Divine favor and recognition.
  • God causes others to notice and favor you-(Psalms 102:13)
  1. Restoration of lost Glory.
  • God restores what was stolen, lost or destroyed-(Joel 2:25-26)
  1. Sudden deliverance.
  • Chains are broken and freedom is granted-(Acts 12:7)
  • Mordecai was honored when God remembered him.
  • The King honored him publicly, turning his life around for good-(Esther 6:1-11).

THE OUTCOMES OF GOD’S REMEMBRANCE.

  1. Testimonies of God’s remembrance and God’s power.
  • God’s remembrance leads to mighty testimonies-(Psalms 126:1-3)
  1. Joy and celebration.
  • Mourning turns into dancing. When God steps in, things happen-(Isaiah 61:3)
  1. Total victory over enemies.
  • God silences every adversary-(Exodus 14:13-14)
  1. There is fulfillment of destiny.
  • God’s help ensures you accomplish His purpose for your life-(Jeremiah 29:11).
  • When Noah was restored (Gen. 9:1-3)
  • After God remembered Noah, He gave him a fresh start and renewed blessings.
  • Let us all seek for God’s remembrance in our lives. All we need is His remembrance of us.

CONCLUSION

  • When God remembers you, He changes your story and sets you on a path of divine fulfillment.
  • His remembrance brings deliverance, restoration and undeniable breakthroughs.
  • No matter how long you have been waiting, hold on to His promises, trust in His timing and remain steadfast in prayer.
  • Tonight, just as God remembered Noah, Racheal, Hannah and many others, He will remember you for help and establish His covenant of blessings in your life.
  • Destiny wasters and emptiers are now defeated upon your life, your advancement is hereby given you.
