YOKE ANOINTING BREAKER

SERIES: THE ANOINTING

TEXT: GEN. 27:40

Many people, like Esau have had a life programmed for difficulties. They have a negative anointing which attracts difficulties, wrong locations and wrong people into their lives. They have a yoke placed on their shoulders which limits them to an extend that they can’t go beyond certain limits. They have been fixed with governors. The secret of breaking free from this yoke it to be tired of it and grow restless for the yoke to be destroyed. Esau had a very difficult life despite being born in a rich family (Isaac). “his father Isaac answered him, your dwelling will be away from earth’s riches, away from the dew of heaven above. You will live by the sword and you will serve your brother. But when you grow restless, you will break his yoke from off your neck” Gen. 27:40

A yoke anointing was upon Esau. The yoke was upon his shoulders. Limitations were put on Esau. As such there are places Esau could not go and things he could not do. Location hindered Esau, the location was away from earth’s riches, away from rain of heaven. His earth was brass and his heavens were as dry as iron.

This anointing upon Esau was the yoke of unbroken curses. Unless the curse is broken, the yoke binding Esau could not be broken until the curse is cancelled. Anytime Esau wanted to breakthrough he found it difficult. Such people have yokes of limitations placed their way by the devil in the spiritual realms. Their life is characterized by lack, pain, fear, hopelessness, poverty, disease, failure etc.

Many have tried to break through but have failed. But Esau was told by his father the secret of breaking force from this yoke. He had to be tired of it and grow restless.

You cannot go free just complaining about your current unwanted situation.

You must become uncomfortable, unable to stay still or quiet, you must become uneasy, anxious, your night must become restless.

Hannah and Jacob became restless, Jabez grew restless and prayed (I Chrn. 4:10, I Sam 1)

You must be restless until your heaven opens. Arise and break them in Jesus Name. speak to your yoke, morning, daytime and at night, demand every yoke be broken, mention it by name, persist in prayers until dew from heaven relocates you. (Isa 10:27)

There is a yoke breaking anointing. God will make a way where there seems to be no way. God has the final word

Let us learn:-

I.  WHAT IS A YOKE?

  1. A Satanic instrument of oppression used to limit a persons’ growth, promotion, fulfillment, breakthrough e.c.t. it is a hindering barrier
  2. A Satanic device that sponsors affliction in the lives of people (I Kings 12:11). You cannot negotiate with Satan.
  • The dark places of this earth are full of the habitation of cruelty
  • May every power assigned to prolong your problems be swallowed in the Name of Jesus Christ.
  1. A yoke is something that places the destiny of a man in the hands of the enemy. (Acts 12:6) the only thing that could free the destiny of Peter was a divine intervention.

II.  WHAT ARE THE SYMPTOMS OF YOKED DESTINIES?

  • When you endure life instead of enjoying it.
  • When you resign yourself to fate, it is not the will of God
  • When instead of being an asset you are a liability
  • When the journey of 1day, for you takes 10years
  • When you are carrying a load, like Joseph brothers carried a load plus extra load.
  • When your wellbeing is under ceaseless attack.
  • When you labor so much and get too little and the little is taken away

III.  WHY IS JESUS A YOKE BREAKER?

  • Jesus Christ is the Mighty yoke breaker because He is the anointed one (Luke 4:18-19)
  • Whatever the yoke, Jesus Christ is well able to break it.
  • No matter who or what placed the yoke, Jesus does not only take it away, He destroys the yoke.
  • The Assyrian captivity in your life and family is broken
  • Today is a day of deliverance, freedom, liberty, victory and celebration in your life and family.

IV.  BELIEVERS’ WEAPONS FOR DESTROYING YOKES

  1. The Name of Jesus – those who call upon the Name of Jesus shall be saved (Rom. 10:13)
  2. The word of God
  3. The blood of Jesus (Rev. 12:11)
  4. Fasting with prayer (Isa 58:6)
  5. Praise and worship
  6. Faith (Matt 17:20-24)
  7. The Holy Spirit is the anointing (Acts 10:38)
  8. Sacrificial giving (Prov. 22:9, 28:27, 2Cor. 9:6)

V.  WHAT YOU NEED TO DESTROY THE YOKE

  1. You need the anointing to destroy the yoke (Mark 5:25-34)
  • Virtue – power – dunamis and faith
  1. You need faith (Luke 5:17) the power of Jesus is tapped through faith – “when Jesus saw their faith” (Luke 5:20-25)

VI.  WHAT IS YOUR SPECIFIC YOKE TODAY? (MATT. 11:28-29)

  • Is it a financial one?
  • Is it barrenness?
  • Is it the yoke of poverty?
  • Poverty is a yoke. It is a product of demonic robbery (Isaiah 42:22)
  • For the yoke of poverty to be destroyed, you must apply the law of sacrificial giving (I Kings 17:8-16)
  • It takes God to send a prophet to anoint you
  • You can’t bless who God has not blessed
  • “Elijah said to her, bring me, I pray thee, a morsel of bread in thine hand” (V.11)
  • Would you have given a cake to Elijah?
  • You are in debt, but give to God your tithe and offerings (Malachi 3:10, Haggai 1:9-11)
  • It takes faith to give your all to God (V.16)

CONCLUSION

  • Anointing is the yoke breaker; it was the level of anointing in the life of David that empowered him to kill Goliath.
  • Anointing is the fuel that enables you to move into zones that were beyond you before
  • Anointing conquers territories, subdues strongholds.
  • You are empowered by the anointing to go ahead and do mighty works in Jesus Name!!
