BATTLE CRYING

SERIES: WARFARE PRAYING

TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 2:10; REV. 12:7-8.

 

Battle crying and praying is one of the most difficult practices of the christian life, yet it is the only solution to the numerous problems that we face each day. Today we want to learn how to fight and win warfare through prayer-Rev. 12:7-8.

The devil knows that he has very short time. When you examine what is happening in the world, you see a warfare, battles all over every place including in our lives, families, marriages, business, country, the whole world is at war-Psalm 2:1-5.

In Psalm 2:9, the language used in these verses are tough. Our God is a tough talking, and a tough doing God-1st Sam. 2:10.

There is a tagging battle going on in this world. It is battle between two opposing forces, you and I are involved in the battle if you like it or not.

It is a war between negative and positive powers, evil and good, the real thing and the false and counterfeit, light and darkness, right and wrong.

If you don’t like wars, bloodshed and violence then I don’t know because the christian life is a warfare and battles all the time.

  • Some people started their battle since their mother’s wombs and are still fighting!!
  • Some people started their battles as soon as they were born.
  • Some people started their battles at childhood.
  • Some people started their battles at teenage.
  • Some people started their battles at marriage, others since they were saved.
  • Some people started at old age, battles are everywhere. When did you begin your battle, do you know?
  • Some other people were born into a battle they have no choice but to fight.
  • Satan is an intelligent strategist and an obstinate fighter.
  • He refuses to acknowledge defeat, even when he is defeated.
  • All lost ground must be recovered and all recovered ground must defeated.
  • Prayer is not preparation for battle, but prayer is the battle itself.
  • You must recognize that the geographical location you were born or you are living now was already ruled by satan, before you were born!!
  • The land you were born and are now living was already donated to demons before you came!! Territorial spirits were already ruling the land you occupy.
  • You must dislodge territorial spirits before you occupy!!
  • There are different kinds of prayers:-
  1. Prayer of faith.
  2. Prayer of thanksgiving.
  3. Prayer of praise.
  4. Prayer of petition.
  5. Prayer of commitment.
  6. Prayer of agreement.
  7. Prayer of dedication.
  8. Prayer of warfare.
  9. Prayer of deliverance.
  10. Prayer of peace.
  • The Bible says pray with all types of prayers.
  • Satan’s success depends on two things-darkness and ignorance. When you turn on the light of Jesus Christ you expose the devil.
  • Educated people don’t understand spiritual warfare. That is why so many of them are messed up!! Many preachers also don’t understand battles of life, that is why they are easily messed up by satan. Let us learn:-

WHAT IS BATTLE PRAYER?

  • It is the kind of prayer that brings the victory of Jesus Christ over the heart of evil.
  • As children of God we are christian soldiers. When you join the army you shoot and you are also shot at!!
  • In the spirit world it is the same.
  • You know the kind of victory Jesus Christ has won.
  • “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to Jesus Christ.”
  • “At the name of Jesus every knee must bow of things in heaven, earth and under the earth, every tongue must confess Jesus is Lord”-Matt. 28:18; Phil. 2.
  • Warfare prayer is a prayer to hinder evil operation in a place, a person’s life or a thing.
  • Each believer and spiritual prayer warrior must hold the victory of Jesus just as the hands of Moses were held up until victory was won.
  • The prayer warrior hold up the victory of Jesus Christ.
  • Warfare prayers are directed towards the host of hell.
  • Some prayers we pray don’t bother satan at all.
  • Since Lucifer and his helpers were cast to the earth, they have oppressed human race to date.
  • When Lucifer came down to earth he was renamed satan-the adversary.
  • He sows tares among the wheat.
  • He plants strange children among the good ones, bad thought amongst good thoughts. All evil spirits defy God, they can’t be pacified.
  • The devil cannot change, demons cannot be saved or forgiven.

WHAT DO YOU PRAY DURING WARFARE PRAYER?

  1. Declaration of your faith.
  • You start by making some spiritual confessions of who you are in Christ Jesus.
  • Then you go on to praise and worship.
  • Bold declaration of your faith is warfare praying.
  • An example of declaration is:-

“Through the blood of Jesus, I am justified, through the blood of Jesus Christ I have peace.”

  1. Resisting the devil.
  • Resisting satan means that you are not giving satan any chance.
  • No “foothold” “no peace.”
  1. Confession is sin.
  • Confess your sins to God-1st John 1:8-10.
  1. Forgiveness of sin.
  • If anyone has offended you, forgive him.
  • Ask God to forgive your own sins.
  • People you have not forgiven torment you day and night.
  1. Breaking soul-ties.
  • Many people have tied their souls to evil people (old friends, girlfriend, satanic priests and fake prophets).
  • Warfare praying is needed to break these ties.
  • Many people need to break soul-ties so that they can be free to love these people they are married to.
  1. Release from evil domination and control.
  • You must pray “I refuse all evil domination upon my life” or “I refuse all evil control over my life.”
  • Release from evil domination is necessary for spiritual growth.
  1. Release from acquired and inherited bondage.
  • When a person has acquired or inherited a bondage, the kind of prayer that will set him/her free is a warfare prayer.
  1. Renunciation of the occult.
  • When someone has been a member of a secret society or in the wrong church where they practice unscriptural things, they ought to renounce their involvement-it is warfare praying.
  1. Destruction of evil warfare praying.
  • You need to destroy through battle prayer all evil communication.
  • “I don’t want any evil thing to communicate to me.”
  • Break all evil communication systems.
  1. Taking authority over the strongman wherever he may be.
  2. Commanding satan to release all that which he has stolen.
  • Everything satan has stolen from you can be demanded back, seven fold or hundred-fold in Jesus name.
  1. Arresting and binding territorial spirits.
  • Command the territory you live in, in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • No place in the entire world is free from satanic domination.
  • Lodges, hotels, horses, places of business, markets and even churches must be set free through battle praying and crying.
  1. Claiming back lost ground.
  • A ground lost to the enemy must be claimed back through battle praying.
  1. Praise the Lord always.
  • The enemy of our soul can attack many areas of our lives.
  • The enemy can attack our body through diseases.
  • Can attack our food and water.
  • Pray battle prayers all the time.

PRAYER

  • Every gathering of the enemy against my life, be scattered now in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Every evil report brought against me in the kingdom of satan, I cancel it in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Every operation of darkness commissioned against me, abort, in the name of Jesus Christ.
  • Every arrow of darkness directed to me, my family and work, go back to your sender in Jesus name.
