DESTRUCTIVE LOCATIONS

JEREMIAH 51:1-9

INTRODUCTION

This message is for those who need to be relocated from where the enemy has pushed them. Every man or woman is in a particular position in the Spirit realm at every given time. Every man has a location. Your location determines your possession. 99% of success is based on the correct location. The major cause of failure is wrong location.

Talent alone cannot move a life forward, other things are needed. Intelligence alone cannot move a life forward. You can be very intelligent but not wise. You can have talent but an absolute fool.

Adam had a problem of location after eating the forbidden fruit- God could not find Adam in the rightful place “Adam, Adam where are you ?” Spiritually Adam had shifted- A person can be in a location of wastage. It is a major tragedy for a man to be wasted only because he was wrongly located.

Let us learn:-

I  THE TRAGEDY OF WRONG LOCATION (Jeremiah 51:1)

  • Sometimes the wicked die together with the righteous.
  • The righteous die because they are swept away in the flood that was sent against the wicked.
  • Some innocent citizens die by “stray bullets”.
  • Some soldiers in the battlefront die through “friendly fire”
  • To Babylon, God warned; “I will send a destroying wind. This wind will destroy two victims.
  1. It will waste Babylon because God was against Babylon
  2. It will sweep away those who dwell in the midst of Babylonians.
  • The people who dwelt in Babylon were not part of the problem but because they were there they became victims.
  • Many girls are raped in what is called “Blind dates”
  • Many young men die in crossfires because of their kind of friends.
  • These innocent inhabitants would be destroyed as a result of the crossfire between God and Babylon.
  • We are in a period in the History of crossfire operations.
  • It is now a season of battles. Don’t be part of the target of destruction. Be a righteous person in the right place

II.  EXAMPLES OF WRONG LOCATIONS;

  1. Jonathan the son of Saul entered into a life covenant with David (LIFE FOR LIFE)
  • Jonathan knew that David was the Lord’s anointed
  • Jonathan and David made an everlasting friendship
  • Jonathan died fighting on the side of Saul whom God had stated for destruction
  • When the destroying wind of God came, Jonathan, his brothers and their father died by the sword.
  1. During the Passover in Egypt, when the Angel of death and destruction was going around Egypt to slay all firstborn, any child of Israel who went to play with Egyptians friend died.
  • When the wind of destruction passes over you better be found in the right place.
  • The safest place to be is Psalm 91.
  • Locate your position in the house of God and in the Agenda of the Almighty.
  • But remember, not all churches are safe because many churches are only “Mixed multitudes”

III.  THOSE WHO ARE WRONGLY POSITIONED.

  1. The “Almost there”- They know so much but they are not saved, they lead services, they really sing very well but their soul is lost. They will be swept away.
  2. People in the dark regions, they know they have familiar spirits- but they don’t seek for deliverance
  • They know they have witchcraft spirit and they are not seeking for freedom in Christ.
  • They know they joined evil demonic fraternities while in school or college but they refuse deliverance.
  • The wind will sweep them away, the crossfire of the Almighty is a bad and dangerous location.
  1. Those who sit at the back in the house of God.
  • They prefer the back seats if they come early or late.
  1. Those who sit in the veranda or outside.
  • They don’t enter, they claim it is too hot inside when the gospel message is being preached, and they leave or go out to chat with friends. To be a veranda Christian is a big problem here!!
  1. Church Nannies– They come to church to play with children, not their own; when the church is going on- it is a destructive location.
  2. Perpetual late comers– they don’t attend the praise and worship. They are very careful to keep appointments with their friends and business partners.
  • It is a destructive location.
  1. Strange pastor’s associates. They are very close to pastors but they are not born again.
  • They are close to the truth, but the truth is not in them
  • They carry the bag and Bible of the man of God, but there is no bag of the Holy Spirit in their lives.
  • They are like closed bottles thrown into the midst of the ocean, no water can get inside them.
  • Gehazi the servant of Elisha was one of them.
  1. The trouble makers. They create trouble and headache for the pastors and those who should shepherd their soul.
  • Don’t locate yourself wrongly (Psalm 71:3)
  • Do not be like Jonah, he boarded the wrong ship to the location of destruction
  • Don’t let Satan waste you
  • Where are you located, today?

PRAYER POINT

  1. Anointing of bad location upon my life, die in the Name of Jesus
  2. Power to be in the right place at the right time come upon my life now in the Name of Jesus.
  3. My father deliver me from wastage, evil location and relocate me by fire in the Name of Jesus.
  4. Hunter of my soul, die in the Name of Jesus
