HE WAS NOT NORMAL

SERIES: DELIVERANCE

TEXT: LUKE 15:11 -17, PSALMS 18:17

 

“He delivered me from my strong enemy and from those who hate me and abherred me for they were too strong for me” (Psalms 18:17).

The prodigal son was not himself until when he came back to his senses and started seeking for restoration.

There were strong forces he knew he had to be delivered from.

There are powers and forces that make a person become a shadow of themselves.Let us learn:-

HE WAS NOT NORMAL.

  • What could make a person not himself ?
  • When you are not yourself you will do what you will not ordinarily do.
  • You may look normal on the outside, but there is a crisis on the inside.
  • You may look angelic but be an Antichrist.
  • You may look whole and healthy outside but be sick inside.
  • You may look happy outside but sad on the inside.
  • The prodigal son looked happy and confident outside but inside he knew he was in a far away country.

WHY DO PEOPLE LOOK NORMAL WHILE THEY ARE NOT?

  1. Problems from your father’s or mother’s house.
  • Connections (evil) from Father or Mother’s side of the family could lead to major problems.
  1. Past abuses maybe physical, drugs and drug abuse.
  2. Spiritual wickedness in high places , is when you offend those you should not         offend or a strong man .
  3. It could be lawful captivity or captive of the mighty (Isaiah 49 : 24-25)
  • In this story of the prodigal son :

He was not himself when:-

  • He was lavishing money
  • When he requested his portion from his father.
  • When he joined himself to harlots.
  • When he was eating with swines.
  • Glory to God , he came back to himself.( Psalms 18:17)
  • It was evil forces that forced him to request his portion.
  • A demonic force is a compulsion to do what you would not love to do .
  • If you asked the prodigal son “How are you” he would say ” just fine”
  • One day he came into his senses and discovered that he was not normal.
  • Things are not normal when:-
  • You marry and you say no children.
  • When you are 30 yrs and still bed wetting.
  • When you labor like a donkey but you have nothing to show for it.
  • When no favor comes to you through out life.
  • When what is simple for others is so difficult for you.
  • When all you think is how to overshadow your neighbors.
  • When you always wish evil for your fellow men and when your heart is filled with evil thoughts to others.
  • When you are uncontrollable both to supervisors and higher authorities.
  • When you join secret societies to molest others or secret organizations .

TODAY THERE IS DELIVERANCE FOR YOU.

  1. The Bible says the prodigal son realized he had sinned – sin is a reproach that is behind many problems.
  • Look at your lineage and blood covenants that gave birth to you. If your family are slaves or slave traders you are likely to be in bondage.
  1. Make up your mind:-
  • When the prodigal came back to himself he said “l will arise, go to my father and ask for forgiveness.”
  • If you are not willing no anointing can set you free. But if you are willing you will eat the good of the land .
  • Whatever the enemy has eaten, he will vomit them today.
  • Today there is deliverance for all captives in Jesus name .

CONCLUSION – PRAYER POINTS.

  • Father, every sin in my lineage and generation affecting me blot it out in Jesus name .
  • Father, let your fire pass through me.
  • Father, every battle of my life O Lord of mercy fight them for me.
  • Father, clothe me with your fire, at your fire envelope my whole being.

(Laying your hands upon your head)

  1. Everything working contrary in my life, finances, family, father lift them by your mercy .
  2. Father, I put your divine salt upon my life, grant me Divine connection sweeten my life Lord.
