SERIES: CHRISTMAS IS JESUS CHRIST.
TEXT: MATTHEW 1:21
Jesus Christ is the savior of the world who came to redeem mankind from sin and eternal destruction.
“And she shall bring forth a son, thou shall call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins”-Matt. 1:21.
The name “Jesus” means Savior, signifying His divine assignment to rescue humanity from sin, bondage and eternal death.
From the foundation of the word, God purposed redemption for man and in the fullness of time, He manifested that plan through His son, Jesus Christ.
Humility was lost, broken and condemned through the sin of Adam but through Christ, salvation, forgiveness and restoration became possible.
The cross of Christ is the ultimate symbol of God’s love where mercy triumphed over judgement and grace was freely given to all who believe.
