LIBERTY BY THE ANOINTING OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

SERIES: THE ANOINTING

TEXT: ISAIAH 10:27

Words cannot describe how much we need the anointing of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We do not have to face the trials of life alone. God will help us. If you have the Holy Spirit on the inside, you can stand any kind of battle on the outside.

God gave this message to the children of Israel concerning their enemies, the Assyrians. Through God’s anointing the Assyrian yoke was to be destroyed. This same promise to the children of Israel to break and destroy the bondage is in effect for you today if you will accept it by faith. The anointing of the Holy Spirit helps us to do the great commission of Jesus Christ to evangelize the world (Acts 1:8, Luke 4:18-19, Isa 58:6)

The anointing is very powerful and we need to take advantage of the anointing to destroy every satanic bondage and yoke.

The anointing is the destroyer of yokes, the anointing is a destroyer of bondages, wherever the anointing is present, bondage will be broken and destroyed. It was through the anointing of the Holy Spirit Jesus Christ did great things, healing, delivering the oppressed and raising the dead (Acts 10:38).

Through the anointing we receive the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions and overcome all powers of the enemy without being hurt (Luke 10:19-20)

By the virtue of the power through the anointing of the Holy Spirit, every child of God is entitled to total freedom and victory over every yoke and bondage to proclaim liberty to the captives. Let us begin this series of messages by learning:-

I.  THE DESCRIPTIONS OF SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES

  • The kingdom of darkness is described in the Bible as principalities, powers, rulers of darkness of this world and spiritual wickedness in high places (Eph. 6:12)
  • They specialize in doing wickedness to people without showing mercy. You cannot be too nice to escape wickedness. You don’t have to offend them before they show you their wickedness, this is the reason they are called the wicked.
  • There are people that are victims of satanic oppresses and affliction, yokes and bondages, this manifest in retardation of progress and absence of breakthrough in many area of their lives.
  1. Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of oppression and affliction used to limit a person’s growth, promotion, fulfillment and breakthrough it is a hindering barrier (I Cor. 16:9)
  2. Satanic yokes and bondages are devices used to monitor, capture and destroy the glory of people thereby keeping them in obscurity.
  3. Satanic yokes and bondages are devices of torments affliction and suffering in the lives of the people (Exodus 3:7-8)
  4. Satanic yokes and bondages are devices used to manipulate people’s divine destinies and tamper with divine arrangements in people’s lives (I Sam 13:11-14)
  5. Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of injecting trouble into people’s comfort and sorrow into people’s blessings, so that they will not have fullness of joy (Gen. 39:1-7)
  6. Satanic yokes and bondages are instruments of crumbling or devouring people’s health, wealth and reputation built over the years.
  7. Satanic yokes and bondages are devices for attacking people’s harvest, making them labor in vain without reaping their good harvest (Judges 6:3-6)

II.  THE CATEGORIES OF SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES

  • Satanic yokes and bondages can be divided into different categories based on the mission the kingdom of darkness is set to accomplish. The three main missions of Satan is to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10)
  • Let us look at some of the subdivisions:
  1. Evaluating mission
  • When the enemy just wants to shake you to evaluate your faith with intention to make you backslide and denial of faith.
  • They make you go through several difficulties such as trials, delays, failures, disappointments and loses, just for you to renounce your faith in God (Job 2:9-10)
  • At other times the enemy brings great temptations at the verge of your victory and breakthrough (Gen. 39:7-12)
  1. Blinding mission
  • When the enemy does everything possible to prevent a man from hearing the gospel or from responding positively to the gospel (II Cor. 4:3-4)
  • The enemy can prevent some people from discovering the purpose and promises of God for their lives – even through religion and denominations.
  1. Ridiculing Mission
  • When the enemy is all out to reproach you and put you to shame, through lack, failures, disappointment, delays or sudden attacks (II Chro.20:12)
  1. Frustrating Mission
  • When the enemy is set to disturb your peace and frustrate you. It is a strategy to distract you from serving God or regretting your service to God (II Kings 4:17-21)
  1. Obstructing Mission
  • When the enemy is all out to resist your blessings and breakthroughs. They oppose your ways, your visions and dreams (Gen 37:18-20)
  1. Avenging Mission
  • This is when the enemy comes to avenge on the havoc you caused in their kingdom by your prayers, preaching and delivery of souls (I Kings 13:4-22)
  1. Killing Mission
  • When the enemy is ready to kill. They usually make use of the spirit of death to monitor their target or shoot arrows of death at the target.
  • They succeed in killing people before their time (John 11:1-4)

III.  THE DESTRUCTION OF SATANIC YOKES AND BONDAGES

  • We as anointed children of God can experience God’s yoke destroying anointing anytime we want.
  • Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to you (James 4:8). Seek the Lord (Jer. 29:13)
  • There is a yoke destroying anointing “he will make away where there seems to be no way”
  • Don’t trust man’s word, man’s word is not final because man is mortal.
  • The first step to experiencing liberty by the anointing of the Holy Spirit is to totally surrender your life to Christ (John 1:11-12)
  • Believe God for his word, that you can be free and the works of Satan upon your life can be destroyed.
  • Confess all known and unknown sins, apply the blood of Jesus Christ for your sanctification.
  • Release yourself to the Holy Spirit as His anointing flows into your life.
  • Receive your liberty by faith and confess your freedom at all times as a child of God.
  • Live in obedience to the word of God walk in the Spirit, so as to remain in liberty and dominion.

CONCLUSIONS

  • The Anointing destroys the yoke
  • Experience the liberty of the anointing, be sure you are saved, be filled with the Holy Spirit by faith, know and claim your rights as a child of God
  • Live by faith always.
