THE TRUTH ABOUT THE ANTI CHRIST

SERIES: THE END TIMES

TEXT: DANIEL 8:23-27

Bible prophecy is very complex. It is made even more complex, due to the fact that almost every Bible teacher has his own opinion about how things will work out. This confusion leads to multiple confusion on the part of      Christians in the churches. Last Sunday we discussed the rapture of the Church. Today let us look at the truth about a person who the Bible calls the Antichrist or Satan’s superman. Let us examine this person’s life and work.

As believers in Jesus Christ, we need to be fully prepared for the second coming of the Lord. The time left is very short, so we need to hear the truth. About 40 billion people have lived on the planet called the earth since Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of Eden. Since that time the world has witnessed the advent of many gifted, talented, intelligent and powerful. However, none of all these who have lived is able to match this man who will be called and known as the Antichrist. He will be powerful, deceitful intelligent, brutal, ruthless and very efficient. He will be the pinnacle of humanity and all that man can achieve without God. He will be Satan’s superman.

Let us see what the Bible says about him.

I.  THE APPEARANCE OF SATAN’S ANTI-CHRIST (DANIEL 8:23)

  • Our text tell us that in the end times, a fierce king will stand up. He will be a master of intrigue.
  • But can we know when this man will appear?
  • The answer to this question is both “yes and no.”
  • During these days of corona virus – (Covid-19) many people around the world have felt the end of the world is now.
  • Some people have even speculated and given names of possible Antichrist, however, no one really knows exactly when he will appear.
  • But the Bible does tell us that there are certain signs that accompany his appearance.
  • Let us look at some of the sure signs given to us in the Bible.
  1. The condition of the world
  • When this man shows up and makes entrance into the world Arena, the world will be in a terrible moral and economic condition.
  • This is evidenced by two Bible references to the end times. Luke 17:26-27, II Timothy 3:1-5.
  • The world already bears the marks that suggest a fulfillment of these conditions.
  • The world is very ready and ripe for Satan’s superman – the Antichrist to appear.
  1. The corruption of religion (II Thessalonians 2:3-4)
  • The antichrist will appear during a time of religious Apostasy, which the bible calls “a falling away.”
  • The organized, visible religion will depart.
  • This falling away will be apparent in churches and denominations which operate under the umbrella of Christianity.
  • Already Christian religious denominations are joining Islamic Religious denomination for a union called “CHRISLAM.” Many Christian denominations are also registered into illuminati a demonic fraternity.
  • We need to understand that just because a Church or denomination calls itself a Christian work, that does not truly make it so!!
  • The days in which we are living today are marked by a rapid departure from the foundation truths of Christianity.
  • Many Churches and Pastors no longer believe in the virgin birth of Christ, the substitutionary death and    resurrection of Christ, the second coming of Christ, the Holy Trinity, the fact that the Bible is the world of God.
  • A Christian is a person who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, for now many are not saved and have no personal testimony of the new birth.
  • We are currently living in the midst of a “great falling away.”
  • Cults are growing very strong in numbers and influence.
  • Genuine Christianity is under constant attack from society, government and religion.
  • When denominations have to vote on whether to marry homosexuals and lesbians or to allow them to be ordained, something is absolutely wrong.
  • Friends, there are things that are so firmly nailed down in the Bible that there should never be any negotiation.
  1. The completion of the Church – II Thess.2:6-7)
  • These verses teach us the truth that the Church must be removed before the Antichrist can be revealed.
  • In verse no.6 that Bible tells us that there is something that “withholdeth”
  • In verse, no.7 there is one who “lettethe” or “hinders.”
  • The spirit of the Antichrist is already in the world, but there are two forces that hinder him from stepping onto the stage and making his presence known.

The two forces hindering the Antichrist.

  1. The Church
  2. The Holy Spirit
  • The Holy Spirit convicts and judges the hearts of men, restraining them from acting. (John 16:8-11)
  • The Holy Spirit works through the Church to make the church stand against the tide of evil, causing a hinderance to the antichrist.
  • A day is coming when both the Holy Spirit and the true church will be removed at the rapture.
  • The Church will not go through the great tribulation since the tribulation is called “the time of Jacob’s trouble” Israel (Jeremiah 30:7)
  • It was told to Daniel that the tribulation was a time for Israel (Daniel 9:27)
  • The tribulation is also called the “time of Gods wrath” (Rev. 6:16-17, Rev. 16:1)
  • The Church will be raptured before the days of trouble (Rom. 8:1, Rev. 3:10)

II.  THE ABILITIES OF SATAN’S SUPERMAN (ANTICHRIST) (DANIEL 8:23)

  1. He will be a man of popularity – (Rev. 6:2)
  • This man will be “given a crown” the people of the world will embrace him as godsend.
  • This man will arrive on the scene with a workable plan for world peace and economy.
  • He will have a workable plan to explain the disappearance of true Christians.
  • He will embrace and embody all the world has ever looked for in a leader.
  • The antichrist will be real leader, eloquent full of charm, charismatic, popular, political and very intelligent.
  • The world is already looking for such a man to lead the world.
  1. He will be man of peace (Rev. 6:20
  • He will come riding on a “white horse.”
  • He will appear pure, carrying a bow, but no arrows!!
  • He will not come making war, but peace.
  • He will make a seven 7years peace with Israel (Daniel 9:27)
  • The world is tired of war, the economy needs repair and people are looking for prosperity.
  • However, we need to remember that the world will never know peace apart from the Prince of peace –Jesus Christ. (John 14:23).
  1. He will be A man of prosperity (Dan 11:43, Rev 13:16-17).
  • The Antichrist will control the wealth of entire world.
  • He will bring prosperity to those who have lived in poverty.
  • He will bring Hunger to an end.
  • He will end class-society in the world.
  • People will be better off under the Antichrist financially.
  • People like to prosper!! Whosoever promises “money in the pocket” is going to be popular.
  1. He will be a man of power (Rev 13:7-8).
  • He will eventually rule the entire world.
  • Many men and women will have wanted to succeed but failed, the Antichrist will succeed.
  • People will fail to know that the antichrist is satanic (Daniel 8:24).
  • He will become so successful before humanity that people would worship him as their god.
  • However at the middle of his reign, this man of peace, prosperity will show his true colors-A devil!!.

III. THE ABOMINATIONS OF SATAN’S SUPERMAN. (Daniel 8:24-25)

  1. He will attack the people of God (Daniel 7:25).
  • The Antichrist will break his covenant with Israel and will attack the people of God.
  • The Antichrist will try to do what Hitler of Germany and Stalin of Russia failed to do; Exterminate the Jews.
  • This man the Antichrist will hate everything having to do with God and Jesus Christ.
  • He will lash out at the Jews and try to completely destroy them.
  • Today we can see what it is becoming increasingly unpopular to be a Bible believer.
  • When you truly believe in Jesus Christ, you are labeled as being intolerant.
  • We are told to tolerate homosexuals and lesbians.
  • We are told to tolerate the murder of millions of unborn babies in Abortion.
  • When we speak out against the evils of society, we are told that we have no part in government.
  • When we preach the real gospel of Jesus Christ we are called fundamentalists.
  • The focus of Satan’s anger will be the Nation of Israel.
  1. He will attack the prince of God (Daniel 8:35).
  • Daniel tells us that, this man, the Antichrist will stand up against the “Prince of princes”.
  • The Prince of princes is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ.
  • Anything having to do with godliness, holiness or Christ will be the focus of the Antichrist.
  • He will make every effort to stamp out the Name of Jesus Christ from the face of the Earth.
  • While the Antichrist is doing all these things, God will raise up an army of young Jewish men 144,000 in all who will go throughout the world preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God. (Rev .14).
  • The Antichrist will not be able to stop these Jewish preachers.
  • The Name of Jesus Christ is abused every day.
  • When did you hear a person curse the Name of Allah? as a curse word.
  • When did you hear them use the Name of Buddha or Krishna, the Name that is attacked by all ,children and Adult is the Name of JESUS CHRIST.
  1. He will attack the place of God (Dan 8:25, 11:36-37).
  • The Antichrist will break his 7year agreement with Jews.
  • He will enter the Newly Constructed Temple in Jerusalem, walk into the Holy place and the Holy of Holies and set up his throne there.
  • He will declare himself to be God and he will demand worship from all people including the Jews.
  • He will desecrate the temple of the Jews in Jerusalem.

IV.  THE AFFLICTIONS OF SATAN’S SUPERMAN (DANIEL 8:25).

  1. It will be sudden (Daniel 8:25).
  • The Antichrist will be “broken without hands”.
  • The Antichrist will be defeated, but not by man.
  • His kingdom will be overthrown with a supernatural defeat (Revelation 19:20).
  • When God Judges this man, He will do it swiftly and harshly.
  • Defeat will be sure for the Antichrist.
  1. It will be serious. (Rev19:20).
  • The Antichrist will enter the lake of fire Alive!!.
  • 1000 years later, Satan himself will be judged and condemned to the lake of fire.
  • Satan has only the power which God allows him! Satan will find himself on the wrong side!!.

CONCLUSION

  • Are you asking, what has all these to do with me?
  • The Answer is that Jesus is coming soon and the world is poised to enter a time of trouble like never before.
  • What happens to you specifically depends on what you do with Jesus Christ.
  • I invite you to come to Jesus this day and be saved.
  • If you are saved, I challenge you. Are you pointing people to Christ or away from Him by the way you live your life?
  • Do not fear the Antichrist, you will be raptured before he comes, if you are saved!!
  • Where will you be when the Antichrist takes the world by storm?
  • When Daniel looked into these things, we are talking about today, he Fainted and become ill.
  • Daniel was a godly man! What effects do these Words and message have on your heart today?
  • Give to Jesus your life Now.
